FFXIII and FFXV are real Final Fantasy games, wheter you like them or not. Turn based style combat does not constitute, nor is it the core element of the frachise, and in a franchise that keeps reinventing itself with every new entry it is to be expected that gameplay changes from game to game. Maybe FF16 will be turn based, maybe not, maybe we wont have a turn based FF until FF20. Who the hell knows.

Maybe the word 'traditional' would be better? Because in a way, none of the last 5 main series FF games have been traditional FF games. 

But turn basee style combat does constitutea Final Fantasy game, it's the very basis it's combat is based on, removing it is removing the style of gameplay the franchise is known for.... FFXV is the only one to do this however because it was a spin-off at first. FFXIII atb just wasn't very good.

Yeah. I no longer consider myself a fan of "Final Fantasy", which is kind of sad for me, as it was undoubtedly my favorite series in gaming for a long time.

It is FF just without the name. Its easily my favorite RPG of last gen. I'm glad MS gave it away to Xbox Live members last month. Everyone should get a chance to play this game.

OT I really like the project Octopath game that Switch is getting. The art style and 2D sprite work is what they should do with a FF6 remake. I think it would look beautiful.
