Not sure, what's the point of My Nintendo then?

if its anything like the nintendo of old, it'll be to reward purchases.. (club nintendo anyone?)

I know, but for example on Miitomo you earn points by achievemnts/missions. I feel like Nintendo could do the same with Switch games. Like "1st dungeon in Zelda beaten" ---> platinum coins reward. I thought that was the point XD.

Personally, I've never cared about achievements. I'd care though if those achievements are rewardes with MyNintendo points to spend. At least it'd be a bit useful XD.

Personally, I don't give a crap. Achievements are an even stupider gimmick than mismatching coloured joycons. But this is probably a miss for Nintendo. I can see how this may appeal to a certain type of person.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Must....resist...the...temptation...

What's wrong with having no achievements? Does it hinder gameplay? Does it break games? Most achievement systems are within the game, if you need one to keep yourself interested all along, you're not playing, you're working.

One of the reasons my hype for the Switch is completely dead right now. Actually no, not just one of the reasons, it`s the main reason.

You are joking right?  If not then that is just fucking pathetic.  Price, lack of launch games, paid online yet you state main reason is lack of achievements.  I pray to all the gods that you are joking.

Club Nintendo was far superior.  They replaced a solid rewards program with shit.

Nintendo have been replacing a lot of solid things with shit lately.

Here is what I sent them a few days ago and repsonse...  Went a little dramatic on the last paragraph.

So I'm just wondering who needs to be fired over My Nintendo... How did you go from Club Nintendo which actually had decent rewards and gave codes for physical retail purchases to a digital only rewards program that has shit for rewards. My Nintendo sucks and it is horrible. Why even have a rewards program if the rewards are pure shit? Seriously a kid could make a better rewards program than whatever the hell My Nintendo is right now.

This along with the pay for online for Switch is about enough for me to almost write your company off for good. This is from someone that has been gaming on Nintendo systems since NES and Game Boy days. You guys are making terrible decisions right now.

would be cool for those who want something like that but to be honest the last time I cared about achievements was like 6 years ago. No I'm worried about solid gaming experiences without the need of achievements.

I don't really care for the feature.

Tho I will say I much prefer in game achievements, something more visual/charming, like how Pushmo World rewards you with cute stamps, the same with Mario Kart 8 while completing grand prix, time trials, etc. But that is more just doing everything in the game more than random objectives that some achievements have I guess.
