Those Citra 3D emulators are starting to get pretty good too.

ei. you can play alot games without glitches or slowdowns on it now, and the pc to do so is just gonna get cheaper and cheaper.

(ontop of optimisations are makeing it less demanding to emulate with time).

Its time for nintendo to pull the plug on the 3DS, and give that support to the Switch.

So the switch has a better shot at success.

If Nintendo is smart and thinking of long-term they should just refuse to publish any more Pokémon games for the 3DS. There's nothing Gamefreak could do, only Nintendo has the right to publish Pokémon games.

I don't want it on 3ds. X and Y at the time were amazing games for the system (still my favorite of the 3 3ds games). Ruby and sapphire were ok because they were remakes, but sun and moon i hate alot, and it looks very dated to me by now. need switch to make it look better, expand the world, and give us some fresh experiences.

Now, I think the announcements we got in the fire emblem direct makes this prediction more likely IMO. The 3ds getting another full-fledged fire emblem was surprising to me. Also fire emblem switch was comfired for 2018. I think Pokemon is likely to follow Fire Emblem's footsteps and have a final 3ds game for fall 2017 before Pokemon Switch hits in 2018. Post your take on this.

If nintendo has any sense left they will make it switch only. As a metter of fact, sun and moon on 3ds was a bad move, since it already got x and y. Sun and moon would've been amazing for the switch as a launch title. Outside of zelda the switch's launch line up... Leaves something to be desired, to say the least.

I'm predicting that the first Pokemon on Switch will actually be a remake of Pokemon Diamond...

I think an exclusive Pokemon game would help the Switch a bit.

Still gonna predict Switch exclusive. The game needs better hardware, barely runs decently enough even on the N3DS, and they had to cut content like the walking/running animations for all Pokemon.

I doubt it for one. The 3DS is actually not in mid-generation but at the end of it life, it's going to be 6 years old in a few days. If you are talking about a third game the "Stars" rumor it may but seeing there might be a chance that it will be a 2018 release I doubt it. Plus they may not do a thrid title like they ditch "Z".
