Of course it wasn't cell shaded, but this new game looks like the next generation of where those graphics started. XCX and XC clearly share different art styles, so this new game isn't trying to go for a realistic design and instead is using more of a anime fantasy world.

It was indeed unplayable, so unplayable I gave up after 80 hours :)
It's still going to be an improvement over WiiU, a big step up compared to ps3 and 360, huge leap over Wii, astronomical leap over 3DS. Plus since muliple performance specs are build in from the start, a refresh a few years in should be very easy.
Now I did see someone asking for Star Citizen for Switch in the top 5 gaming wishes. I hope he/she was joking. Kerbal space program is a much better fit!

Thats it? The XB1 is 1.3tflops and the PS4 is 1.8. Thats about the same power as the Wii U.
Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).
People need to accept Switch is only à slightly better WiiU

It's not the next generation of where anything started. Both XC and X share a similar art style. No they aren'tthe same, but very similar. XC2 is an entirely different direction that is frankly a cop out to a generic anime style.
People are going to see that power will mean less and less in the future. It's all going to come down to one thing, optimization. That's the future of devices in general.

Switch graphics look fine to me. They may not match PS4 or Xbox One pixel for pixel, but honestly I think Mario Odyssey looks absolutely beautiful, and if that's the kind of visuals we can expect moving forwards, I'd be more than happy.
