If Pokémon comes out in 2017 for Switch:
11M FY
75M LT
If Pokémon comes out in 2018 for Switch:
8M FY
55M LT
If Pokémon doesn't come out on the Switch:
8M FY
40M LT

I assumed the joycons and pro controller had analogue triggers because Gamecube virtual console compatibility was mentioned and that system has analogue triggers but no Nintendo hasn't even got the basic's right so unsure how they will do those games unless perhaps a new Gamecube controller comes out that is Switch compatible. I'd rather have conventional vibration feedback and analogue triggers than so called HD feedback with simple digital buttons. So like wii u the Switch will have an inferior controller setup to PS4, Xbox one and PC. Let's face it the PS5 and Scorpio will no doubt incorporate HD feedback into their next generation controller with analogue buttons. The more you hear about the Switch the worse it gets.
I just can't see this finding a large audience even at a much reduced price. As a product the wii u was better I think for its time.

Where is the fun, if everyone agrees. If so much is unknown, including first release sales levels, then prediciting is so much more fun!
I'm not sure...I'll say 40 million...
I hope it sells more than that, tho.

This sounds like a reasonable prediction; I second that.

I actually want to be wrong because I love Nintendo games but can't help thinking the Switch is an absolutely terrible games console with limited appeal beyond Nintendo enthusiasts.

Pretty confident it will sell less then the 3ds.
But let's go with a less confident 35 million figure.

So far I cannot really decide which way it goes, so many variables. That's what makes predicting so much fun. I do hope also for good numbers, but I'm too somewhat sceptical, although not to the same degree as you.
