I was thinking this. The only thing attractive about the motion controls to me is the idea of HD rumble with VR.
Otherwise, I'm sticking to buttons.

I hope the first Arms game isn't as lacking in basic features and content as Splatoon 1 was. I don't want to wait until Arms 2 to buy like I did with Splatoon. |
At least you are thinking about buying splatoon 2, I understand why splatoon is a success but online games are not my thing.
I had a bad first reaction to it because I was expecting other kind of game but it actually looks pretty cool, seems to make good use of the Joycons and I'm digging the goofy style.

One of the features they added was a real local multiplayer mode. I didn't even buy the original because it was such a patchwork job.
ARMS!!!
It was love at first sight; I can not wait to see what people with skill and talent can do when paired up.

I said the same thing about splatoon |
Splatoon has way more gameplay mechanics though. Arms just seems like casual launch game. I doubt it will even have a story.
Hope there is more to this then it looks. There is potential but it will need the spirit of Splatoon and it's infectious ease of play to make for more then another wacky Nintendo experiment.

And people said the same thing about Splatoon.
When Splatoon was first unveiled there was only one stage, one weapon and no single-player campaign to speak of. People really need to learn to be patient before judging a game. Nintendo isn't going to unveil everything there is to know on the first day of its announcement.
