I'd say mediocre overall, but there are much worse launch lineups out there.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It should be noted though that Fire Emblem Warriors has a decent chance of being a 2017 title, and that the japanese launch day has about 6 more games that aparently wont make to launch day worldwide(check ign confirmed list games for clarification). But yeah, Zelda alone make this a good launch.
My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Not for me.
PS4 had worse for me.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
Depend on what games and your taste, for me its awfull since i gonna get zelda on wiiU, so switch will be a next years buy at best, probably when xenoblade 2 or the new fire emblem come out (and a price cut, 320euro is so much for me)
It has Breath of the Wild, I don't think it can be the worst one ever.

I thought I remembered Wave Racer 64 and Shadows of the Empire as well? Either way, I was mostly refering to console exclusives, so I'd certainly give those two the edge over Bomberman and 1-2 Switch.
Most consoles have weak launch lineups though (including many I've loved), this one just took me by surprise as really the only game of note was one that's been delayed for, what, three years? I thought we'd at least get one big surprise right off the bat. Nintendo must really have been pulling our leg with the Zelda release dates as they must have known this whole time it'd be the feature launch title of the Switch. Just imagine what the first month or two would look like without it... it wouldn't be pretty. |
"The console was first released in Japan on June 23,1996. The Nintendo 64 was first sold in North America on September 26, 1996, despite having been advertised for the 29th. It was launched with just two games in the United States, Pilotwings 64 and Super Mario 64."
Wave Racer and Shadows of the Empire came out in the following months.

Switch have a important tittle (Zelda) at launch, PS4 and X1 had one after of 1-2 years (Halo 5, Uncharted 4)
