Then look on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube. Look at Youtube comments, the like-dislike ratios, the total views, the attention it's getting online overall from media outlets. If you still can't see any of it, then you're choosing not to look. 80 games being developed currently for the Switch, you think Nintendo is developing even 20 of those games on their own? Support in Japan is already on lockdown, so yes the WESTERN support is lacking, but unless you can see the future, then nothing is proven on either side of the debate.

Not seeing a more positive reception from consumers, and the developer support looked more anemic than Wii U launch.

I find Media outlets, Twitter, FB are mixed, more negative than positive.

^This. A lot of people all over the internet are very positive and totally hyped. Except for here on VgChartz.

The Switch is a fantastic product, it's just way overpriced. When it gets down to the 200 mark it should surpass the wiiU, I just hope they don't wait too long to do that.

Made a new thread with actual prediction.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Exactly.  You can't really use social media, either, as diehard Nintendo fans are going to be out in full force trying to make it look like it's loved no matter what.  Massive views and thumbs ups.  Doesn't matter if just a week or two ago they were talking about less gimmicks, more power, and price it right.  Now, it's all "$299, more expensive than the much more powerful PS4 and doesn't come with a game, is an awesome price."  "The Joycons are what's going to save Nintendo."  "I don't mind paying for Nintendo's service, even if its poor compared to Sony/MS."  But, the biggest one "IT'S GOT ZELDA!"  Yep, cause Zelda is the game that's always appealed to the masses of casuals is trying to going after, again, and got them to buy Nintendo HW.  Oh, wait...

It helps that Nintendo isn't implementing any negative gaming policies, like MS tried, so your average core gamer isn't going to feel the need to lash out against it. So few thumbs down from people who don't like it or are ignoring it, while massive ones from fans.  Sales are where this is going to be proven.

Yeah, the press also said DS was horrible and later that Vita was gonna be a hit lol

And fans said the Wii U would be huge.  And because it failed the PS4 and XBO had no shot.  So, like I said, sales are going to be the deciding factor.

I can't even be bothered to read the OP, sadly. It seems all you have to say is something negative about Nintendo or the Switch - but that might be because I've only read Nintendo threads these past days. Maybe you're super positive elsewhere.

No, you're wrong. This WILL sell better than the Wii U - it'll probably reach almost half the sales in it's first year.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Lots of negative comments here. Nothing a mind blowing Metroid game wont fix.

I think it will sell at least as much as 3DS. But it won't break records like DS, IMO.
