Forums - Nintendo - Extra Dock $89.99!!!!! Switch Pro controller $69.99, Joycon set $79.99. Updated 2x!

Whoa...? Nintendoomed already?

I think they're probably going to market the dual joy cons as two controllers in one. Personally I think its a tad expensive but I know it will work for most local multiplayer Nintendo games besides Smash but most people will buy GameCube controllers for those anyway. Will be interesting to see the market perception to the price.

Those prices are way too high tbh.

Yes. I'm even considering waiting on Switch for a future price cut.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I was expecting $50 for Pro Controller or $60 if it has motion controls, but of course Nintendo still manages to top that! This wouldn't be an issue if the Joycon didn't cut corners for portability, namely how the sticks aren't offset and the D-pad being split. Atleast the gamepad still retained full home console quality even with a screen in the middle. Now a pro controller is mandatory for me, which essentially brings the cost of the system up to $370, and that's still without a game! For comparison I got my Wii U + 3 games for $315, so yeah, definitely waiting a long while before getting a Switch.

Hopefully those Pro Controllers will be much cheaper next year..

What the hell is wrong with Nintendo? I mean...really. What?

Well when people said `the Wii U tablet controller is making the console too expensive and dragging it down` Nintendo must have been like `it isn`t the expensive controllers fault, and we`re gonna prove you wrong next gen with another expensive controller!`

And expensiver dock with no obvious advantage.

They want both joycons to have four face bottons at all cost.

Extra dock is certainly interesting. Did not expect that at launch. So a standalone handheld Switch without dock or the joycon holder should be around 200.

Yes.  I think this is a likely holiday 2017 SKU.  Base switch with just the screen unit and joycons for $199.  That is, unless they intend to keep producing a separate handheld device.

Yeah, those prices are pretty damn disturbing. Nintendo is on some crazy dope, I tell ya.

The dock is just a piece of plastic. They are charging out the ass for it because they feel they can, not because it costs anywhere near that to produce. Nintendo is adopting more Apple-like pricing policies.
