Yes, I suppose an incredibly minor warning for generalizing gives you free reign to act like a child, but sure enjoy the extended ban for ban-dodging with an alt.

Feels like I absolutely missed something. I see an odd comment in the "mental illness thread".

Then all of a sudden he is trolling Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo.

Then he complains 3 days isn't a perma ban.

And is the VGC Porn thread a threat? This all seemed to happen quite quickly.

It looks like he could not handle warning and sort of self destructed moving forward.

Received a minor warning for generalizing the Catholic Church's leadership in a thread.

Requests a permaban over it, then proceeds to troll other threads with obvious bait because a permaban request was refused (The Mod Team does not grant these, it's our policy)

Threatens to post porn when he returns from his ban via an alt account in the Mod Thread

That's the gist of it basically, it sounds odd because it kind of is...

It's far from unreasonable. If he's going to put so much time into spreading an agenda, he should know better.

It's not at all surprising to read that a lot of conservatives are incredibly ignorant.

Let's go ahead and put a stop under this, because I can see where this is headed between you guys.

And I assure you Carl, there are no more or less ignorant people among conservatives than other groups. The only thing that varies is what they're ignorant about. People have plenty of ignorance to go around.

In any case, if you two want to continue this discussion, you'll do it privately. CGI has addressed the issue, and how we'll handle use of the word tranny moving forward, and that's that. As far as we're concerned, this is settled. Whether we'll continue to allow certain individuals to continue creating political threads is still under review, and we'll be monitoring the situation to determine the best way to proceed.

I'm just doing this to fix an error in this thread. Thanks.

Ka-pi said nothing wrong. The Catholic church has a problem with paedophiles. Wrong warning.

What was the text in the warning, and did he immediately request a permaban or was there a back and forth in the PM that contained the warning?

We are not obligated to hand any such information out, so don't expect it. - And how is it even any of your concern?

The mod team generously leaves it at edits to his threads without any penalties (as seen above in Bandorr's post) while the community's hands get tied by rules that prevent it to call him out. Should it happen anyway, then the community receives a penalty (as seen with vivster's ban). Simply put, the role of the mod team in this scheme is the one of an involuntary supporter of a political agenda; the mod team acts as an enabler, as a tool, without realizing an underlying connection between events because the overall interest in political threads is so low that no close attention is paid to what's going on.

The role of the mod team is not up for you to decide.
As for the appropriate course of action... The mod team tends to deliberate on issues, if you feel there is an issue, bring it up with a moderator and we will discuss it. (Or not if we think it's just inter-personal dramatics.)

As for Political threads themselves... There is a reason why their interest is low with the mod team, they tend to be a pretty toxic environment. - Some of us are trying to engage with those threads more frequently, for better or worse. (Myself included.)

Ban notes are usually a matter of public record. ka-pi's was vaporized very quickly due to an additional ban being administered mere moments after the initial ban. It's a fair question, no?

Rol asked about the warning that was given, not his initial ban. Warnings aren't public by default so I'm not going to post the warning (however innocuous it may be) without permission from CGI or Ryuu.

My initial ban on Kapi was for his trolling, which I will post:

Trolling ((Including http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8877891#content and http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8877889#content) - There was no call for posts like these, but considering that you reported yourself for them, you already knew that.)

Ah yes, my bad. The warning. It's easy to find it if one, as i did, looks at his most recent posts. I don't get the bolded part though. You mean that he reported himself?

Basically Kapi deliberately broke the rules and reported himself to get banned because we didn't grant him a permanent one at his request, which is something the mod team no longer does.
