After the Sony hacks I've always been leery about putting credit card info into a console. I used a old gift debit card I had lying around to get this. Otherwise it wasn't going to let me even though I had money in my MS account. Sneaky how they do that.

That's how the Xbox Marketplace webpage operates, to be honest, and has been that way ever since it went live. If you do it through the Xbox itself, it's not required at all.

I am not so sure about that.  I tried to do it on my xb1 and it did ask for a billing information.  I added my debit card info and then deleted it. I am a new xb1 user with no gold so that could be the reason.

I made a live account, now just have to magically find a 360 to get it as yeah, not giving any card info xP

Thank you for making a live account! Phil Spencer will be telling us about improved Xbox Live engagement thanks to you!

Weird. I have never ever the need to input any Credit card info to download free games through Xbox itself.

I screwed up (as usual). Thought Blue Dragon was free. Apparently, I misread. I tried to download. Xbox Live was slow so I kept jamming on the "A" button. Before i could stop, I had purchased Blue Dragon--which I already own.

Oh well.

Well at least now you own it digitally so you no longer have to swap discs.  How much was it I'm guessing $19.99.

Every man, woman and child must be slamming XBL to download Lost Odyssey for free, hence why it's slow.

I was able to download it for free on the 360 I don't have a payment option attached to my account but I do have gold and also still have some credits on my account which have spend pretty soon since they expire at the end of January.

Nice. Missed out on LO back when it came out. I'll make sure to correct that mistake now

Either I'm dumb, or tired.

Are you saying you plan on skipping it again? Cause like... you hate Japanese games?

Easily my favorite game on 360, I highly recommend everyone play it!
