I think there's also been several rumors stating it's going to have a $299 model as well, and a lot of people have taken the $299 model as the only one worth getting (even here).

but will it come with a game....

thats a 50 or 60 doller buy in change...

360 bucks is super high for a mobile buy in even if you get a dock...

I predict it'll be $299, with a game. Every system will come with a dock.

Within the first 21 months.

I'll raise you to the first 18 months

You sure you wanna only include one holiday? That's why I bumped my prediction up to 21. I mean it's gonna sell great but it's still a Nintendo console.

"The Nintendo Switch price is said to be set for $299, although there will be a bundle available for $399. "

You should really stop.

So you conveniently cut out the sentences before and after that counter this argument?

"Considering the Wii started at $250 and the Wii U at $300, gamers can expect the Nintendo Switch to land somewhere in that range. Granted, with the console-handheld hybrid nature of the device, it could cost as much as $350 or $400. However, with both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One base units now running at $300, it’s likely Nintendo will want to stay competitive against Sony and Microsoft, meaning gamers can expect the Nintendo Switch to stay at $300 or so – at least until Nintnedo releases more detailed information."

Also, it's not an official statement but pure conjecture by the author. What are you trying to prove here?

It's sure as hell that Nintendo Switch won't be the next Wii. But sales shouldn't be as abysmal as Wii U sales.

If we consider that Nintendo Switch will replace both console and handheld then it means that it must sell twice as good as a normal home console. Wii U and 3DS sold ~73M together i.e. Nintendo Switch has to sell at least 73M to be up from last generation and this won't happen imo.

well i already said it was and made a thread about it, so it would be silly of me to say otherwise now.

Regarding the price, as we have been saying, we are, in principle, not planning to sell it at a loss,” Kimishima said. “We would like a wide variety of consumers to enjoy Nintendo products, and we would also like to think in terms of consumers’ expectations for our products.”
