You said it was imited by 3DS. All of this would have been possible on 3DS. I wanted to know in which way the game is hold back by the 3DS.

I'm positive he was referncing to the game beeing linear and the lack of double/triple battles, the latter beeing completely removed from the game, while the first one is so scarse that while breeding in the postgame I found out that you can't have double battles anywhere outside of the battle tree, which makes teaching moves to Smeargle a pain in the ass

I'm not convinced, the fact they took out the 3D effect and STILL had frame rate issues as well as bad loading times tells me either the game was not optimized well, the 3ds held them back, or they were lazy because they're really focused on the Switch version (if it's true). Point is, Sun and Moon dosen't feel like a game that is on it's 7th generation, it's a major step backwards in terms of execution, but i believe GameFreaks vision is there, that maybe a console version could bring to fruition properly, mainly making it a bigger world with more content in it. This is the 1st pokemon game i was bored to tears with, i had to force myself to finish it, that's never happened.

Of these, the only one I really had issue with was the linearity...and even that wasn't a huge deal. 

I definitely disagree with the OST and story...as those are two of the things that stand out in this game. I'm surpised you think this was worse than Ruby/Sapphire and X/Y...as I found the narratives in those games to be just terrible. i can't even remember most of the characters or any of the story in X/Y (something about a lion dude that wanted to get rid of ugly things?), and I still can't figure out what Team Magma/Aqua were trying to do. I like seeing adult characters that don't act like idiots for once, and I was suprised to see a core cast that (Hau excluded) I liked overall.

The fishing and battle complaints are probably valid...but nothing that really bothered me either.

I've only reached the 2nd island so I can't say much yet, though it does seem really linear, but that is sort of to be expected with any Pokemon game

Pokemon is pretty much all about the meta game at this point I would say. The main campaign is really just a 20-hour long tutorial in my opinion.

I didn't include that in my pro's, but i do believe they improved that. hyper training, s.o.s. battles and the poke' palgo are nice additions

Finally someone who agrees! Never have Pokemon battle themes been so forgettable, even after hours and hours of gameplay I still can't remember them, not like I'd care to. They really should have an option to mute background music during battles.
