Forums - Politics - [Update] CIA & FBI Report: Russia did things to help get Trump elected

Where's the news? It's not like everyone wasn't doing it for everybody in pretty all the elections.

This is most likely the next step in events leading up to World War III. We won't be safe until Russia burns to the ground, and Adolf Putin with it. Scum, every single one of them.

Wait, wasn't it the Clinton campaign that advocated war? So far Trump have been very cooperative with pretty much everybody.

This is the same CIA that couldn't find that Hillary was using an illegal server for 4 years. Their track record on computer matters is spotty at best. I'll bet if Trump's CIA investigated the matter, they would say the opposite of Obama's CIA. And while the hack and leaks were an invasion of privacy, most Americans are glad to know what the content was and the corruption revealed from the leaks. It brought a lot of unbelievable steps into the light.

If the Democrats were so incompetent that they couldn't be bothered to secure their own email accounts from cyberattacks when everyone knows that the issues of cybersecurity and espionage have been global threats for well over a decade now, then it's their own damn fault for not being more careful in the first place.

Numerous government agencies and private organizations have been hacked over the past several years (hello, Sony!), so for the DNC to play fast and loose with not only our sensitive national security info, but not even bother to take even the most basic security precautions against cyberattacks makes quite alot of folks glad they'll no longer be in charge of things come January 20th.

And does anyone honestly believe that NOBODY tried to hack the Republicans during the past 18 months?? They aren't exactly in the good favor of the Chinese, Middle Eastern nations, notorious hacking groups like Anonymous, etc, and I'm sure there'd be some nice juicy emails there that the opposition would've loved to get their hands on as well. Guess Republicans know better than to click on suspicious emails and links about a Nigerian Prince and other 2-bit scams that Hillary and her team fell for.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Rex Tillerson has been chosen as Secretary of State by Trump. This guy's company has signed a $300BILLION contract with Russia and he himself was awarded Order of Friendship by Vladimir Putin.
It's time for us Europeans to face the truth: America is about to become an enemy instead of an ally which they currently are.

All these accusations and yet not a single specific example of anything Russia actually did.
On the other hand there was a tidal wave of "fake news" against trump spouted hourly.
From Google manipulating search results and suppressing negative news about Hillary.

Case in point, Donna Brazile debacle.

If you searched for "Donna Brazile" prior to the election the only results were about her historical work. Search now and all those suppressed articles can be seen a the top of the listings, even though they were published back when the searching suppressed them.

This was taking place constantly throughout the campaign in the final months.

EDIT - Right, just typed "Donald Trump" in Google, what comes up in the first news listings that include photos.

"FBI covered up Russian influence on Trump's election win, Harry Reid"...

Harry Reid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????? Harry Reid can be quoted time and time again as making outlandish statements based on circumstantial evidence claiming it as fact. He's as bad as Alex Jones when Alex Jones is having a particularly fantasy minded supposition. Even Alex Jones is more straight down the line on a normal day.

So - as far as I can remember, USA have been seen as an enemy to Europe. It seems more like Trump isn't that much of a friend to the large Asian countries that manufacture most of the goods today. Trumps focus is more on the socioeconomic issues and less on the imperialism.

Meanwhile Trump supporters were screaming conspiracy theory. Of course it was a different conspiracy. Thank you to everyone who fell for it and voted for this scumbag. You most likely ended the world.

LOL.  I will fix it for you "You elected the first decent president we have had since Reagan"

I guess it is no problem for you that Saudi Arabia supported Hilary financially?

No surprise at all that Russia played a big role in it, and noone should be surprised why Wikileaks only seemed to have "dirt" on Hillary and nothing on Trump. At the same time, Hillary had huge backing from Saudi Arabia so it's extremely corrupt on both sides.

Even if this should be true: This is so full of double standards, it's quite amusing:
- Almost every "western" country has tried to influence the election by actively supporting Clinton and vilifying Trump
- The US is constantly trying to influence elections all around the globe, trying to get the candidate/party elected that they prefer and trying to get rid of candidates/parties that they don't like
- Leaking information that is believed to help achieve such goals is a typical for the US as well, actually, there's probably no other country using that strategy so heavily. The difference is that the US usually doesn't need to leak to Wikileaks, they usually leak to journalists directly.
