At the end of the day, many support your attitude but still a lot of people bought and buy Xbox and no one cares for your attitude when they go into a shop and buy the bone. You can tell everyone that they are buying the wrong console, of course, but they won't care, for good reasons.

You are spot on, you think? Fine. But this is reassuring yourself and not based on anything that can be agreed on objectively and in masses.

I am a hungarian yet still believe that you do not know the meaning of the words that you use? Many? No, not many, but the wast majority. In masse? Yes I trully think we can call that when you are outselling your closest competitor 2:1. Not based on anything? Have you been to the main page of this exact site we are on? Have you seen the level of interest the PS brand generates on major tech and gaming? Have you seen just how badly the Xbox brand is doing on a global scvale when it comes down to brand recognition?

Lets not insult each other anymore, I think we all know these facts and its needless to bring them up every time.

Yes, let's stop it because we have way too different points but:

Have you seen the level of interest the PS brand generates on major tech and gaming?

Yes, I have. PSVita, move controllers, PSVR, PSVue, just to name a few. Sony is trying to associate PS with a lot of products but it almost only works for the home console.

The only console with Halo & Grand Theft Auto!

There's so many crazy misleading statements they can make that way!

How is that misleading.

"and" means as well as. Did they say "or"?

Because if you wanted to make a statement abouttwo things that were both exclusive to your system you'd still use and.

"The only console with Halo & Gears of War!" - That's not misleading in the slightest, it's the only console with halo, it's also the only console with gears.

"The only console with Halo & Grand Theft Auto!" - Dumb misleading statement.

If you're going to make a statement about exclusive features then you only include exclusive features in that sentence. Instead they mention one exclusive feature then list off a bunch of non-exclusive features in the same sentence that started with "the only console". They know exactly what they're doing.

If you can remove one of the nouns in an AND statement and it is suddenly a lie, then it is a misleading AND statement.

Now if the statement was "The only console with BOTH Halo & Grand Theft Auto" that would not be a misleading statement.

Only problem with that statement is people will look at the latter and think that they can't purchase it on PS4. Still it would be dramatically correct though.

In an AND statement the precursor should be true of both nouns given. If you take either Noun/object out the statement should still be true.

"The only console with Halo & Gears of War" Remove either Halo or Gears from that statement and the statement is still true:

The only console with Gears of War.

The only console with Halo.

It's very misleading otherwise. It's not necessarily a lie, or gramatically incorrect. It's just bad practice, and in terms of marketing it's fucking disgraceful.

There are still people who believe in Microsoft's marketing? lol

That's a well elaborated post and I appreciate that but I do have a response.

What if Nintendo back in the day when it had it's first Sega game released for the console.

Would you be upset with a statement like "The only console with Mario & Sonic" even though Sonic was not exclusive to Nintendo?

Think about it. It has an impact and is honest, it's like saying we have the exclusives but we also have the other stuff.

In terms of marketing it's fucking genius, that's why we're talking about it because it has an effect on those who are ignorant.

That's what marketing is all about, it's for suckers and fans who decide to be ignorant. All marketing is about pushing the message to the maximum within the rules of advertising.

Those who are informed on a particular topic will take offense, those who aren't won't. I'll bet you there's doctors around the world frowning every time they see a food claiming it can improve the health of your heart and so forth.

Probably not, it's a weird one. For some reason it being a shorter and broader statement makes it less misleading to me. If they stated specific games, but as they don't I don't really take immediate issue with that statement.
