Then they should make all the games for xbox and windows, just one unified brand. They are doing that right now, but what about halo??? |
Probably all future Halo games will be multiplat. Didn't they just start this year?

Halo 5 released last year. Xbox Play Anwhere started becoming a thing until this September. I'm sure Halo 6 will be on PC, and Halo wars 2 is Xbox play Anywhere. Halo 5:Forge released not that long ago on PC.

For me the last halo game on pc was halo 2, when I say halo it's halo, not the online or the spin off game. Anyway, after this I don't know if they are going to support both platforms with the same games.

I think you should let Halo go. It'll be alright. Its not even as good as it used to be IMHO

I bet they only changed the wording because they don't want to make false promises. Anything can happen, like a developer not wanting their game to be a play anywhere title. If MS wants the Xbox App and play anywhere to be successful, they know they have to release their big guns like Gears, Forza, and Halo. So far 2 out 3 have.

Halo 5 multiplayer is, I would say, the best out of all the Halo games. If not the best, right behind Halo 2.

ive heard that, I was speaking more for the campaign which is what I usally care about more. (except titanfall 2 where in the rare case I enjoy the MP as much if not more than the SP)

All I see from these accounts is flip flopping between maybe, yes and no:
http://kotaku.com/microsoft-explains-lack-of-halo-on-pc-1636527489
http://www.pcgamer.com/phil-spencer-explains-why-halo-5-probably-wont-come-to-pc/
"That's all well and good, but where's Halo 5? Spencer returned to his Frankengame analogy, explaining that Halo 5 was designed from the beginning to release for consoles. On the other hand, Halo Wars 2 was developed with both Xbox and PC in mind, and Spencer cited that as a reason for its success on both platforms. "In terms of Halo FPS on PC, I think there’s a ton of opportunity for us right now, but I don’t want to get into a world where we’re looking back, like at Halo 5. It doesn’t mean there’s nothing there that could ever end up on PC, but I’d much rather look forward with what our plans are."

I find it so hard to believe that Halo wouldn't work on PC from day one, cinsidering the original still works to this very day and has been modded to hell and back, yet somehow an RTS is definitely 1200% going to work with X1 and PC as a tag along (because if it wasn't announced for PC, PC players like myself would be questioning such logic).
So far their offerings have been busted, the plan is still to cram Xbox as a brand onto Win 10 and replace their PC side with their console side, yet still dangle and withhold exclusives because "reasons".
They want the garden, but they don't want to have to go all the way for it. This makes sense when you look at the general idea of making games for both, but giving more to the console side, it's cheaper for them and they think it will win both sides over (it hasn't so far).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

This. Its why people give the other two a "pass" they've proven themselves a long time ago. |
What do you mean? They brought in developers and made them first party. Bungie and Epic were both brought into the fold and treated like first party. Nintendo did the same thing with Rare and so did Sony with Naughty Dog. Just because there isn't a Microsoft development team doesn't mean that they don't have a first party. They just went about it differently.

Microsoft
Nintendo
Sony
That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more. I agree that Nintendo is struggling with that a bit, but Microsoft and Sony, especially, have come up with plenty. Love 'em or hate 'em. |
I think it's not so much about the numbers here. We see rant posts like this every time there is a big gaming event and the reason is that Sony simply drops big bombs like a Zero Dawn, TLOU 2, new Uncharted and a freaking Kojima exclusive. It's kinda hard to look at exclusives like that and then try to convince yourself that it's okay because the Xbox will have Recore, Sea of Thieves and Scalebound. Yes, MS is trying and they do have exclusives, they just look pretty damn mediocre compared to the games Sony is bringing to the table.
