That is very thoughtful of you Versus, to make this thread.

First thing I did. That they did it in 2016 is embarrassing.

Fantastic psa, 2 factor Authentication is something people should always have on their valuable accounts.

Also for accounts like psn if your name is John Smith and you are 16 years old you should never use an email address like johnsmith2000@hackme.plz if you use an email like this you are offering up 3 security questions to access your account and you bring brute forcing your exact date of birth down to just 365 possible answers.

If new PS4 owners REALLY want to be safe, do the same thing I do. Go to a local check cashing establishment that has those pre-paid debit cards and pick one up with a couple hundred bucks on it. USE THE PRE-PAID CARD FOR YOUR PSN ACCOUNT. Do not link your main bank account to PSN. When PSN is hacked (a common occurrence) you will only lose the small amount you had on the pre-paid card.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Thanks for the info. I just got a PS4 Pro several days ago, so I'll do that shortly.

It's one of those things that sounds like it would be a lot of work but it's really so easy and it means that having your account stolen goes from not only needing to guess your pw but also steal your phone or hack that also at the same time. It adds so much protection from an unlucky hack and it costs nothing.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

There were a few issues with this when it first launched. Made me hold off a bit. Does it work without issue now?

Not a new PS4 owner but I'll enable this right now. Thanks for the heads up.
