Forums - Politics - Day 1 after Trump wins: Racism comes back stronger...

This shit is all unacceptable except for one part of it

Bottom right picture, Make America Groot Again, I'm pretty sure that is something everyone can get behind with Guardians 2 on the way.

But yeah it's a pretty shit day for the States and the majority of the Voters since she won more votes, but lost where votes count, I'm sure it's going to be a rocky time ahead, but a great nation like the States isn't going to let one man fuck up what has been built up over the past decades. Also as a lot of people said, a lot of these posts are based on fear of the unknown, you can't blame a man for fear of what might happen down the line, he isn't actively doing anything to cause that, people just have to sit and wait and hope that when he is in place and has advisors that they will tell him that blaming every Muslim for terrorism is the same as blaming every band for Nickleback.

How many of the accusations have actually been verified? We've seen time and time again how people make things up for their own gain or as a way to vent. Secondly, many people can and have argued that racism in America became worse under Obama. And not exactly perpetrated by whites - usually the opposite.

These two girls wearing #ImWithHer t-shirts just walked up to me and slapped my chicken tendies right out of my hand and then grabbed me by the boy pussy while I cried out in pain and humiliation but they wouldn't stop and then they said BLACK POWER WHITE BOIS R OVER and it totally happened I'm literally shaking right now.

And if you dare ask me for evidence you are blaming the victim.

This was obviously going to happen, same stuff happened around here after Brexit. Its not that every person who voted for Trump is like this, its just that everyone like this voted for Trump and suddenly have a false sense that the majority of the nation and it's soon-to-be government are in agreement with them. Its horrible, but not an indication of what is to come.

People hate people. People have hated people yesterday, people hate people today, people will hate people tomorrow.

Most of these are so clearly fake, it's ridiculous.

It's also funny how the media ignore all the people calling for the death of white people on social media or the black guys beating up a Trump supporter in a car park. But then I shouldn't be surprised, they have ignored the hatred, racism and sexism of the left for years. I've long since lost count of all the articles I've read from the left about how shitty white men/people are. So weird how they talk about Trump hate when it has been Hillary supporters attacking people, suppressing people, harassing people and trying to get people to lose their jobs for not fitting their liberal views.

Mainstream media is a shit-stain, and is rightly losing it's relevancy as this election has so wonderfully shown

Yeah, I'm calling it a hoax now. At least it's largely a hoax.

The main source is hard to determine (who is behind this?), I mean when you click on the link you get some kind of twitter feed or what is it? And then just post after post with alleged racist transgressions.

But I did some searching and it very quickly got the impression that something's fishy.

It's intruiging why most of these Facebook people making claims you can't access their Facebook page. Some of them don't even seem to exist.

Some of the posts share a very similar personal writing style, which obviously raises the suspicion they're authored by the same hoaxer.

It's really fishy.

Technically he did tell them to do all this. That's what his campaign was about.

Enlighten yourself.

Absolutely disgusting. And these are cases where there's no doubt wether the story is true or made up.

It begs the question to all those who are sooooo upset about the cases in this thread, where were you before?

Just like with Brexit this makes people feel more legitimated to express their latent racism. Which is normal, because, don't fool yourselves, not every Trump supporter is a racist at all, but every single racist has voted for him.

Most of these are probably fake. Just like the girl who claimed to be attacked by someone wearing a Trump hat.

He's in a position of influence so a lot of what he says carries weight. He doesn't even need to directly tell people to do stupid shit. If he's indirectly saying it's OK to do stupid shit, he's influential enough that people will do stupid shit. It's not about scapegoating (the idiots should still be punished) but ensuring he's held to account. He's a politician now, literally everything he says and does now needs to be scrutinised.

Held into account for what though? Where did he say to people that it's okay to be racist? If he did then yes he deserves heat, but still he has no physical control over other people's actions, so the real issue is still that people are willingly choosing to be stupid, but some wanna focus solely on Trump instead as if he's the lead organizer of all this racism.

He needs to be held to account for inciting racial hatred and in some cases, lying to do so. In the UK we actually have a law that would make some of the stuff he's said in his campaign speeches illegal (not that we're particularly good at holding our politicians to account either).

I believe the phrase that best describes this particular scenario is "leading by example":

If you condone physical attacks on immigrants, peaceful protestors or minorities, then people are going to think it's OK to keep doing these things.
