Forums - Nintendo - so i got a 3DS and I'm not happy

I also got myself monster hunter and to be fair I'm still doing all those endless tutorials... While the gameplay is alright it still looks repetitive and the depth of the story looks rather short...

so tell me where is that 3DS magic beside mario and co and Zelda games??? All those JRPGs??? Anything as good as lost odyssey??? I really want to enjoy it ??

 Well, the appeal of Fire Emblem and Monster Hunter surely is not story. For both it is the gameplay, for Fire Emblem it is the strategical use of your units, for Monster hunter learning the moves of the monsters and of your chosen weapon. if you play for the storyline you probably like visual novels. There are some available here in europe, mostly as downloads in the e-shop.

Ok got a huge list to check out... Thank you to the one that went over my frustration and tried to help me find something I'd like on that new device I've got instead of pushing on me hardware I will not get since I just bought this one.


Anyway among the Mario and Zelda collection which one are the best games to date on DS outside of retro gaming....
I haven't looked around yet but I used to love mega man on Nintendo home console back in the nes days... Is there a new one om DS or something like those..

For platformers I was thinking kirby games use to be good to....

Anyway thanks again I'm off to check that extensive list you guys got me..

Damn , not insulting or anything - those are a decent list of games but....if I were on the edge of wanting to buy either a Vita or a 3DS - this video would make me want to get a 3DS more lol.

 

Also he doesnt have Tales of Hearts R (I know its not well known) and Persona 4 Golden :(

Agree to disagree. Rekka no ken and Sacred Stones are very cheesy. Specially SS.

Besides Mario 3D Land and Zelda A Link Between Worlds I really enjoyed: Luigi's mansion 2, Donkey kong country returns 3D, Cave story 3D, Pushmo  and Mario & Luigi dream team. Some DS games are really good to, even now, notably Mario & Luigi Browser's inside story and all the Castlevania DS games.

Dragon quest 11 is coming next year on 3DS.

I wouldn't play Monster hunter on 3DS. I'd prefer play it on Wii (or Wii U) because of the controller.

But, yeah most 3DS magic comes from Nintendo magic games like Mario, Zelda and co games.

Git gud. Git a Vita. You gotta pay for it though. Pay hard. If you can get a used oled model, you might have trouble looking at a 3DS again. It's a big secret though, so sshhhhhhh........Bring about $500 for memory cards though. No really.
