Forums - Movies & TV - DC TV shows - I've been impressed so far.

I think most of you are way too harsh. Just because something's not your cup of tea, it doesn't mean it's trash.

Anyway. I've watched them all and I have to say for me it's:

Gotham: easily the darkest and best of all DC shows. It even rivals DD and JJ (Luke Cage is just boring imo). Great characters, great stories, great acting. The procedural formula somehow works.

Arrow: Very good show, though at times it can get ridiculous. The most annoying part is someone getting a bit of training and beating two trained assassins at the same time. Other than that (and some romantic bs that are just badly written) it's great.

Flash: a very fun show which was super easy to watch. They made some changes and made it darker which doesn't really work for it(the actors can't pull it off), but we'll see. The first season was fun, but the guy who plays Dr. Wells does a terrible job.

Supergirl: surprisingly good. Not great, not incredible or anything but it sure is charming. The lead actress is perfect for the role and I can't help but root for her. The rest of the cast is good too. Just like The Flash, it's really fun to watch.

Legends of Tomorrow: had tremendous potential and could have been my favourite, but the acting of several people has been atrocious. Even good actors like Wentworth Miller do a pretty bad job (I take it he's instructed to act like this. Too over the top for me). The fights and special effects are great. There are a ton of good elements there. They just need to fix a great number of things, like the terrible villain they had the first season and the story being a bit more tight. Because as it is it's hard to get attached to anyone. I heard the second season is already much better.

I've only been following Gotham, but I've been enjoying it so far. Thinking of giving Supergirl a try.

Have you see the Flash? its by far the best DC TV series they ve done.

If not see that instead of supergirl.

Arrow is the only good one. Great show in fact.

Flash started off well, but gets silly (but thats because the concept is silly). Gotham is generic. Supergirl is awful and so is that Justice legend thingy.

The thing about SuperGirl is that I cannot stand Felica Lockheart and her character.  But what's kept me interested was the Martian Manhunter spoiler in Fight Club 2.0.  I never knew that Henshaw was Manhunter becuase I was only so far into SuperGirl.  That really perked my interest, and I was told it gets better as the season unfolds.  I'll admit that SuperGirl isn't great, but it's good enough for several reasons such as the future tie-ins with the other DC shows.

Hank Henshaw is actually The Cyborg/Composite Superman/Cyber-Superman. They did a bait and switch here in that anyone who knows comics immediately set up red flags whenever Henshaw's name was stated, adding fuel to the fire when his eyes glowed red, and even moreso when he was capable of disarming that bomb. I still firmly believe that a REAL Hank will show up at some point with his immortal disembodied consciousness infiltrating technology. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he turned out to be the main antagonist of Season 2.

CW ones are great. Gotham is horrible and quit watching after last season. Bruce is a whiny baby. Jim is boring and just shoehorning in every Batman villain and it's just a mess. Not really Watcher Supergirl other than 1 episode. Too much corn for me. Flash is excellent. Arrow kinda fell off but is gaining ground again. Legends of Tomorrow first season is hit or miss but anyone who says this season sucks after the past 2 weeks is crazy. This weeks episode had nods to TMNT III,Star Wars and The Hidden Fortress ans it's all pretty well done and subtle.

Thanks a lot, buddy.

That was actually my fault for reading it.
