Good. I hate touch controls with a passion

Generally?

Because touch controlling with a stylus is fairly different that touch controlling with your fingers, especially your thumb! :)

I don't like touch controls at all. Stylus or not

I'll miss the touch screen. They have become a standard thanks to DS, 3DS and mobiles, and they make things more accesible for the general public. Why not including it anyway, even if using that function is optional for developers
?

What we saw definitely means no more games with mandatory analog/d-pad + stylus controls that suck ass if you are left handed.

No more touch! Germaphobes unite!

With a stylus you don't touch the screen :P

Good riddance.

Touch controls will not be missed.

They will be missed by some, but certainly not by you.

I liked using the stylus on the NDS, 3DS and Wii U though.. they were handy at times

Could possibly be that Nintendo is trying to make it more like a tablet with finger touch controls with no styuls.. but could be that it is dropped completely, which I wouldn't actually mind either

I agree with you there, they could be going that route... but a stylus obscures the screen less and you gain some dexterity. For example, picross works bad on mobile due to the touch controls, but on a Samsung Note it's great

Lefties have it rough, even Link had to switch. I wonder if the NS will let you flip the controls from each joycon.

Yep, still haven't finished Kid Icarus Uprising yet due to that.  I tried a few different options like aiming with abxy buttons (didn't really allow precesion aiming).  I think I'll have to bust out that 3DS holder they included with the game to try and finish the damn game or I guess I need to start trying to write with my right hand.

Elite Beat Agents
Meteos
Mario Maker
The World Ends with You
Picross
Professor Layton
Trauma Center
Picross
Hotel Dusk
Puzzle Quest
WarioWare
Theatrhythm

bye bye

It can't be though... There has to be a stylus... I don't visit Miiverse that much but it would be a much sadder Miiverse without user made drawings.

It could be that the screen is a capacitive. You won't be able to draw pretty art though.
