I agree with you there, they could be going that route... but a stylus obscures the screen less and you gain some dexterity. For example, picross works bad on mobile due to the touch controls, but on a Samsung Note it's great

Lefties have it rough, even Link had to switch. I wonder if the NS will let you flip the controls from each joycon.
