Not true according to Laura Dale, the docking unit does actually improve performance, battery life is said to be 3 hours according to her sources which fully rules it out to be a full on portable. This is why Nintendo have said first and foremost it's a home console.

battery perforamnce lol, thats not graphics performance or any kind of extra horse power under the station

Don't really get what you're trying say as all she's saying is that the docking has some bits in it to help performance and funny enough that Zlatan person everyone is talking about has another leaked image that backs it up as it shows the Dock has RAM in it for some reason.
