So, it seems that we will get an updated version of Mario Kart 8. King Boo is one of the new characters there.

And Skyrim is obviously the Special Edition (Remastered) one.

Hopefully Dry Bones is another new character.

SKYRIM MEANS THAT ONION MIGHT BE RIGHT. RED EFFIN REDEMPTION 2, HERE WE COME!

Does that mean that those people who saved her butt photo on their pcs will delete it out or respect? or will they keep it to show their mothers and pretend they got a gf lol.

Dunno. Don't care. I just want Read Dead 3.

The video highly suggests the dock does NOT give additional power. Don't set yourself up for disappointment by expecting "secret sauce"

I'm excited for the switch though! It's looking good.

I don't see how people can comment on the power of the system when the games showed weren't meant to show off the power of the system.

Since when was Mario a benchmark for a system's power? Skyrim being there is probably just to show they have Bethesda's support, not to show off graphics.

You certainly can use it as basis for minimum power of the system though.  That is what people have taken from the Skyrim Remaster.

The form factor alone is enough to go on to say it won't be more powerful than an XBO.

I may not know that much about the available hardware and how they compare to current gen systems, but I still think it's presumptuous to say it is roughly the power of the Wii U without seeing much else other than a few select games recorded off-screen.

How in the name of whatever you believe in can you figure that out. The docking station is an anomaly judging from the vid. I was just looking at it more positively

In the video they remove the tablet during gameplay and continue playing seamlessly. That pretty blatantly shows the dock doesn't perform any rendering itself imo.

We'll see how impresive your deductive powers are or whether nintendo is really good at switching seamlessly from console to protable

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

Well, watching the video again, all my issues were answered and resolved. There's no problem with the console with me anymore. Can't wait for the Switch.

However, according to NVIDIA's page, they have custom made a scalable GPU. It might not give additional power, but it likely has something that allows to upscale games when the screen goes from tablet to TV.

Yes it is a little presumptious, it depends what you mean by roughly. But a substantial boost over the WiiU in power for a handheld device isn't really feasible. Even a marginal increase would make it a phenomenal device!

Also, I disagree with the evolved Wii U sentiment. Wii U was based around touch screen augmentation of traditional gameplay and second screen gaming in the home console space. This is fundamentally neither of those since you are EITHER playing on the tv or the screen and have no functionality on the screen. This is fundamentally based on making a traditional console experience with all the bells and whistles truly and conveniently portable. This is actually an evolution of a much older concept Sony and Nintendo both played with with Sony's smallest PS1 models and the attachable screens for them and with the Gamecube's attachable screen.
