Is this game turn-based (like Cyber Sleuth) or does it play like the old hack & slash Digimon World games (i.e. Digimon World 4)? If this was the case I would buy it on my PS4 because hack & slash games are more enjoyable on PS4 than PS Vita. Turn-based games are better on the PS Vita though.

Digimon world games have digimon world 1 gameplay, digimon story gmes are turn based.

good timing too, since the english version of the 1st Digimon Tri movie is soon to released in the US cinemas, and from what I read they kept it as close as possible to the original japanese while keeping a bit of old Digimon series dub nostalgia too, which is so much better than what I expected

What seems to be left out of the OP of this thread is fairly important, it's shown in the title but not where that info comes from.

The original press release indicated a PlayStation 4-only, digital-only release. The updated press release mentioned a boxed retail and digital PlayStation 4 release, and digital-only PS Vita release.
Update 10:05 p.m. on 9/15/16: Bandai Namco sent Gematsu an “updated correction”—a correction of its previous correction—at 9:52 p.m. backpedaling its PS Vita announcement. According to the new press release, the game will be available “exclusively for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system in both digital and boxed-retail versions.”

Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. would like to correct and confirm information pertaining to platform availability and distribution methods for Digimon World: Next Order. The game will be made available to players in the Americas in early 2017 exclusively for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system in both digital and boxed-retail versions.
Mistakes were made in our initial announcement for Digimon World: Next Order and we regret any confusion this may have caused to our fans. Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. looks forward to sharing more news and details pertaining to Digimon World: Next Order in the coming months leading to the game’s early 2017 launch.

I meant now the vita version is skipped (I tend to write not instead of now, for some reason). Thanks for the update, sucks as well, as I will always choose the more affordable option, and vita generally is that.

Vita and PS4 versions of Cyber Sleuth was the same price here in EU but even though remote play exists so I could use the PS4 version on the Vita while at home... I still picked the Vita option just to be able to take the game to work with me and enjoy it on the go instead of being limited to the couch (or in range of my PS4's wifi)
I dunno it's just given the option between freedom to play where you want or 1080p I normally pick the option which would let me take out my gaming while sitting at work/break/cafe and enjoy some of it on the go, it's why I'm really hopeful for some of the NX rumours to be true, but... rumours just be rumours and all that.
