TBH it might be a good idea to ask for a thread lock OP - this is going to spiral.
Counselors won't push you in a certain direction and won't guilt-trip you. This site will, and already has.
That being said, props to the 3-4 people ITT who actually said something helpful without projecting onto OP.
Once again, I know you both will make the right choice, because in the end it is the choice that will be right for you both. Take your time, communicate, and good luck!

To be fair those 3-4 people (and your personal message) made it worth it. I don't mind the thread being locked but I can take whatever these guys throw as I respect the members of this site which is why I came here in the first place.

Just a pretty jarring situation, not been in it before and the uncertainty is what has got me most. I'd like it to stay open to update it further with anything but if mods feel it needs to be locked I understand.

I'd like for it to stay open too. And for the most part, people have been fine. I just hope it stays that way. I'd like to know how this goes and what kind of road it takes you on. And in times of need people want support and advice, so hearing from random people can be good. Just make sure the decisions and actions you take are from you and you alone. If you read something that may sway you one way or the next, read into it. Or look at the pros and cons of each outcome.

But yeah, I'm in full support of whatever you and your friend make together. I really hope this works out for everyone in the end

As a random comment in response to a few things said by other people, I want to remind everyone that not even condoms are 100% since they can break(rip). There's really only one method that is 100% secure, but no one likes it XD.

Also, OP should know that even with the pill there is not a 100% effective birth prevention method. If you're having unprotected sex you should know that it's possible to cause pregnancy despite methods that attempt to prevent it.

This is true. OP, you should've wore a condom because it would've more than likely protect you from this situation. Also, condoms now days are so light weight it will feel like nothing is around your ding dong and the same for the woman. No excuse to not use a condom unless you want to have a child.

Uhhhh. Now, I could be wrong about this, but I don't think it's ever been an issue of weight that makes going bareback as preferable as it is in terms of feeling better. It's more about constriction, and lessened feeling. Amiright?! Hive five!

Less weight means lessen feeling. Trojan has the best condoms imo.

You should throw a funeral for sleep. That's about to be gone. Trust me I got a two year old

Some of us are into role reversal tho...

Sorry, I had my Socially Approved Straight Glasses (TM) on. Theres plenty of 100% methos then actually. Some of then might be pretty fun, not that I will ever know.

Life starts in the womb, so if you go the abortion route remember that you are denying your would be child a chance at life. In a sense, you end your child's life to save your own.

And no, your life will not he ruined. There is more than one road to success. You may not be able to take the path that you initially wanted to, but there are more than one path available to take.

I was 21 when my son was born. That was 8 years ago and I now have a one year old daughter as well. I am not a rich man, but I am successful financially making a comfortable six figures a year off of about forty hours a week. I did not start my career until AFTER my son was born.

It can be done, I know you are scared. You may not feel like it now but things happen for a reason and if you strive to move forward, you will find your way. I can promise you this, no matter what you decide career wise, you will never look at your child and think that it ruined your life. You made your decision, you did what you did. As long as you still want to succeed, you will.

I wish you luck and hope you find your way. Keep your head high and keep moving forward. Believe me, it gets better.

I feel I would much prefer the situation if it was with a Girlfriend or someone I had an emotional connection to?

Silly me for trusting someone to take their pill eh?

I have a crawlspace full of latex free skyn condoms, they're really good.

But I fell victim to 'oh well, I'm on the pill so..'

I feel you on that.  Although I can't say I would have done anything different.  It is easy for someone to say you should have done this or that, but when it is right their in front of you and precautions were supposed to already be in effect...well I believe most people would have made the assumption you did.  I know I would have lol.
