Forums - Nintendo - Now Yoshi Whooly World is coming to the 3DS, why did I buy a Wii U?

I get the 3ds is a better selling console so this is a smart move to maximize their return-on-investment for these wii-u games, but it doesn't make me feel any less shit on as a wii-u owner. It's not like we're getting any cool 3ds ports with added stuff. Or even just the content 3ds owners are getting as a free update. again i understand it, but it stings. :(

Assuming you already have a Wii U and Woolly World, how does this in hurt you in anyway? So what if more people can now play one of the best Wii U games. This would only effect people who are deciding between Wii U and 3DS.

For all the good games on it, and TV play!

Well, since I have both systems, it doesn't effect me.
With that said, whenever I eventually pick this game up, it'll be the Wii U version.

Because the 3DS version will look like a pixelated, low res pile of dog crap in comparison? lol

I don't care that they port these games between the devices. What I don't like is how they don't offer the extra content to the original release. I understand they want to give an incentive to buy the port version, but it does suck a bit, even when the extra features are meaningless.

For example, this new Poochy amiibo, is he only going to be compatible with the 3DS version? What happens to the WiiU owners?

I think I might end up buying this game twice.

Both the WiiU and 3DS version.

WiiU so I can enjoy 60 fps in HD on my TV while play the port with extra content while on the go with my 3DS :)!!!!

Why not just buy the Wii U version and play something else while on the go? That seems like a better use of your money, and I thought you were careful with money. :L

woolly world was great, but really at this point they should just a ''Wii U Classics'' line for 3DS for as many Wii U games that are just ported to 3DS
