Hope they do a clear out sale of the old model so I can pick up one of those. This new one is just boring.

That's really just through the use of more efficient parts though, the PS4 Slim may very well see the same kind of improvement.

I think they overclocked it more (as a whole, the hardware on the XONE, especially the older model can take far more abuse than it currently does without damaging the hardware. An update that overclocks the processor all the way to 2 GHz is feasible and would do quite a bit.

I see an optical port in the square. Had to max the brightness on my phone to see anything at all, but after I did, I certainly see an optical port there.

Which...if anything shows that having those games nets them no advantage over not having them. Nintendo has had systems sell anywhere from less than 20 million to more than 100 million with largely the same franchises.

What I ment is that "percieved value" (performance & price of said performance), from a cheap PS4 slim, could hurt the NX, if its a handheld thats not going to be all that powerfull (compaired to home consoles).

Its all to make it. cheaper. And i'm also guessing that these days an optical out is considered as a redundant output being that TVs comes with them now. And if you are using anAV recover you are using HDMI anyways.
