Both will launch with NX 45 30.82%

Nintendo needs to come out strong, and with only one console to support there is no reason why they can't

If the speculation/rumors are true than this is a hybrid device that is a successor to both 3DS & Wii U so it will have a unified library with Nintendo's full support.

3DS & Wii U both suffered from terrible post-launch droughts so its absolutely vital that they have a steady flow of big guns in the first year.

Dear God it's beautilful. Where is the latest Fire Emblem (Fates)? I think it was 2015 and missing.

Yes Fates released in Japan in 2015 but i was using US lineup so i didnt include it.

Yes, If they do things as it's looking to be like, they will have a great launch, with both Zelda and Mario

but whether it has a lot of games coming after will depend

Nintendo said something about showing off the next 3D Mario in 1 or 2 years, so unless they're bullshiting again that means it wont make the launch unfortunately. That wont be an issue though, because I'm confident another big gun in Animal Crossing will be ready for day one!

Don't forget that the Wii U didn't flop in the beginning. It was after the first year we began to see SERIOUS ISSUES.

Nintendo needs to think it out for the next 5 years. Can't risk seeing the NX fail

The WiiU crashed and burned in the first year. After that point, it was pretty much over. There is little point to plan for a third or fourth software year if the first one turns out to be like the one of Wii U.

Didn't he speak of a new kind of Mario? Which would mean that we could get any of the familiar Mario platformer types in the NX's first year.

Yeah, he was speaking  about a new kind of Mario. If he was talking about a new kind of 2D Mario game, then a 3D Mario is almost guaranteed to come out next year.

Yeah, he was speaking  about a new kind of Mario. If he was talking about a new kind of 2D Mario game, then a 3D Mario is almost guaranteed to come out next year.

Miyamoto was just teasing, I expecting to see new 3D Mario at NX reveal or at E3 latest, and definitely next 3D Mario will be released next year, SM3DW was finished in 2013. so next year will be 4 year of development of new 3D Mario.
