No we can't. WiiU's shortages exist because there is no interest for the system so Nintendo stoped the production. It's totally different.

You can search if PS4 is available or not in Japan very easily. For example going to Yodobashi Camera website. You might need a minimum level of japanese, though. In this link you can check PS4 stock available in all Yodobashi Camera's shops (one of the biggest chains in Japan):

And in all of them it says 在庫あり (stock available). The only store where is not available is the outlet / second hand store, than never has stock.

You can also check Amazon.jp and PS4 is 在庫あり (stock available) again (letters in green).

Also, I live in Japan, Tokyo, and I've checked Bic Camera and Yamada Denki close where I live and PS4 is available again there.

So, we have 3 evidences showing that PS4 is still FULLY AVAILABLE in Japan. 

Btw, since the new Splatoon Bundle came out in July, Wii U is also fully available (you can check it using my links and starting a new search). If now it isn't selling it's because doesn't sell. The moment to sell has passed, and the new bundle price is quite higher than before.

The hypocrisy is great, because you always compare ps4 to 3ds, when it is positive, but when things are negative, you are ready with excuses (like shortages, which it doesn't have yet, and or that the comparisons isn't fair, when you do the exact thing you complain about it), or dismiss it.
