I knew the idea that it being "extremely rare" and all that "0.01% chance" stuff was BS meant to hype up the game.

Also, apparently these guys are unable to even see each other, even though they are at the exact same spot of the exact same planet. GAF is going crazy about marketing lies but I am going to blame launch day server issues.

But anyways, apparently it will be easier to meet up and explore with people than originally thought. I wonder what the max amount of players you can get together is?

Considering everything that has been said about the game, I don't think these two players can't interact at all. It's not a server issue, it's the fact that the game is supposed to be played solo.

"0.01% chance"

That's not small odds when we are talking about maybe hundreds of thousands of players lol. Besides, it's obvious that you can and will meet other people, naturally. The goal of the game is to get to the center of the galaxy. As people progress, the density of players will increase, and the chance of meeting someone else will be even higher, even without trying. They didn't make it seem like it would never happen in their statements lol.

EDIT: Of course they'll meet when they literally co-ordinated it so that they could meet eachother.... facepalm

Wasn't it obvious that all these statements were PR?
Everyone in this industry does this nowadays.

The actually important thing here is that the players can't see nor interact with eachother. It could be server issues, but I don't think so. I think this is just a singleplayer game that has some online connectivity to it, ie. the naming of the creatures and planets, that's it.

Critical thinking is needed in life. If people would think for themselves, stuff like this wouldn't happen (disappointment and/or feeling ripped off).

My hype levels just went down significantly...

Weird becasue I swore they said it not possible to interact with other players.

so the developer lied about that aspect, right? because they were in the same spot and nothing.
