Forums - Gaming - 2 weeks to GamesCom. Are you there?

In less than two weeks the GamesCom 2016 event starts!

Will you be there? Which day? I'll be there on Friday 19th.

And if you go there... which games or systems are you most interested to try out or have a look at?

I normally don't wait for hours in a line but just stroll through the halls and try out some stuff with short/no lines or look others over the shoulder.

This year I'm mostly interested in the three big VR-solutions (PSVR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift). It is very convenient that you can make an appointment for PSVR games in general and for Resident Evil 7 on PSVR, so I made both these appointments. There seem to be 4 PSVR-locations in total: Sony, Capcom, Expert and gamez.de)

Now I have to find out, if you can make also an appointment for Vive or OR demos (or for some other neat stuff).

I'd love to try out the new Zelda, but it won't be playable in the public halls :(((

Wednesday 17th for me.

Don't know where to go for the moment and will most likely decide when i'm there.
And since it's wednesday it should be pretty empty too.

But VR will be a big topic for me I think.

Was planning on it until the girlfriend decided on another Year of University. Now, we cannot afford it.

Maybe within the next 2 years :)

Last time I went was 2009 or something lol. Maybe next year though as I might be moving to the NRW area.

Does this, the appointment thing, mean u don't have to wait in a huge line?

I love VR too but I never have tried a device. I wonder when they will have demonstrations in my town.

Why would you move there?

Yes. You can make an appointment for German locations here: http://trypsvr.com/de_DE

There are all PSVR-Events in German towns listed, the last 4 are for the GamesCom 2016:

First you choose one of the four GC16-PSVR-stands (Sony & Capcom in hall 7, Expert & gamez.de in hall 5.1), then you choose the day and then you get a selection of the available time slots. They recommend to be there 10 minutes before you appointment.

Sony also had this appointment system on last year's GamesCom... unfortunately I wasn't aware of that system then until it was too late.
