I decided to revisit the adveture mode in Super Smash Bros Melee today and was kicking Mario, Peach, and DK's butt. 

But then I got to the Undergound Maze (Link's adventure stage) and noticed a face on the wall!

Weird! But maybe its just some weird texture thing that resembles a face?

Edit: for those who can't see the face:

Nope. I found three more while treking along the course.

What the heck? This is definitely not some blurry texture on a wall. This is a face! 

So I search online to see if anyone else notices this. But nope, nothing was found. 

So who is this guy's face that keeps reappearing in the Underground Maze? Why hasn't anyone question Sakurai this? And why does he look he's wearing a cape like this dude below?

I would second this I think. That is very much a GC texture of a rock right there.

This is dolphin. My computer runs it pretty bad though.

Yeah, I can see something that looks like a face. But there's also a rabbit on the moon. The human brain has a weird way of finding patterns in randomness.

Our brain just tries to show us faces even if there aren't faces. That's how our brain works, I see the face as well and I even see some more in your screenshots but that doesn't mean that there are faces.  Within the circle which you used to show the face I can see already minimum four faces lol.

It's called Pareidolia. 

I'm going to send pigeon to Sakurai to ask him about that face. Hopefully I get an answer.
