They prefer the therm "positive discrimination" but yes they are asking companies to have racist hiring policies against mainly white males and lesser extent white females so those companies become more diverse and that's apparently better. Anyway I hate this kind of policy, let companies pick the best men or women for the function not because of his/her ethical background, rather use his/her professional background.

Diversity laws are bullshit. If a white male is more qualified that a Black/Asian/Hispanic female, the white male should be hired END OF STORY.

This also applies the other way around. It should be about your skill set and ability to do your job, not to fill a diversity quota to satify the oversensitive joke the world has become.

A friend of mine used to be in charge of hiring contractors at a large plant. His method, if it can even be called that, was to go with quality bidders. However, he received a corporate mandate that said he HAD to hire based on a minority table. Native American female contractors at the top, white male contractors at the bottom.

Project quality plummeted. He was hiring thrown together contractors over experienced and established contractors because he had no choice. He told me that he often had to bring in other contractors to fix what the original contractors had done, sometimes costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

That's a ridiculous burden for companies to bear.

Who passed thos laws in the first place? Who is benefiting from such retardedness?

when the owner of facebook who is white, is married to an asian, you can bet your ass he isnt racist. 



You shouldn't have to fill a quota type of thing for number of employees, based on race. The most qualified person for the job should get it, no matter what race they are.



Arrrgh this annoys the hell out of me. Don't hire based on race/sex/creed, hire based on qualifications. If people want to increase diversity, make more of the "minority" (For some reasons Asians don't count) get interested in tech field by scholarships and grants. Hell all these pro minority groups, you should be addressing high school, and the value of actually having that degree.
