I'm pretty sure it want have any sound or fps problems, Nintendo pay attention on things like those espacialy for VC games, you already have VC games and they are working great.

Who care if people bored after 30 games, this is $60 console not $300, and for that price has great value, basicly full price of one AAA game is $60. Just number of collectors, nostalgia/retro fans and Nintendo fans is huge, but definitely some casuals will bought this also because it's cool and cheap, great for holiday present.

How large it is!? Its smaller than NES cartridge, its have size of 4-inch mobile phone with only bigger height, its basically size of NES controller like you can see on pictures. It look like is size of package of cigarettes, you cant relly say that is large.

Have on mind that this is women hand

It seems large to me because the NES is such an old product. Using the latest technology you could  produce a console of xbox 360 performance level smaller than that if you removed the disc drive and hard drive and just relied on flash memory. I personally would have prefered it smaller, about a third of the size. I think this would have been even more collectable and desirable.  To be honest they probably could have put all the electronics in the NES controller and done a wireless connection to a hdmi dongle that plugs into the tv.

Sure they could, but a big part of it is that it actually is a NES even though in a new format. It's a part of the thing, the design. Without it it would probably not even sell half as much. People in their 40's or whatever going in the store seeing a NES and they go "wow! look at that" and 3 seconds later it is in their bin after they see what games are included.

It's a perfect design. Everything doesnt have to be micro. This is going to be a hit.

It might be like one of those small Coke freezers. They're kind of useless but still some people get them cause they look cool.

We're suppose to get the NX this Xmas, what is this Mini NES crap. I rather they focus their effort on the NX. Sure they might make a quick  profit on this gimmick but how long is Nintendo going to screw their fanbase.

But that's coming out in March 2017.

This is perfect filler for the holiday season, easy way to make some profits for the company and kepe pushing with the NX.

I mean, right now Pokémon GO's success and audience shows there's a large group filled with nostalgia for gaming who are no longer in the gaming scene. Those who don't see the point cause they have the Virtual Console and emulators (which are technically illegal) are missing the point. They aren't the target audience. This will be a great option for people who either never experienced the NES and want an affordable way to get a fairly authentic experience of the highlights and (more importantly) people who want a cheap way to revisit nostalgic old titles. Those ex-gamers from the 80s. I mean, it's a measly $60. I could see it being very successful.

Ouch, just checked the prices here, it will cost about 140-150$ here, which is way too expensive. I don't think this will be a hit in Scandinavia at all at that price point.
So, 60$ in the US and about 150% more here, getting screwed by regional pricing once again, it seems.

I never understand this.  Is it exchange rates?  Taxes?  Tariffs?  I mean, what?

Basicly, you cant relly make NES Mini in USB or matchbox size, it would be stupid.

And I dont see how can anybody say that NES Mini is large, its basically size of cigarette package, basically can fit in pocket

Thinking about the supply issue thing, remember last year when digitimes was saying that Nintendo was going manufacture a lot of units of an unnamed console starting in June. A good chance it was probally for the NES mini, since if I remember correctly the information was supplied mainly from the people who supplied the plastic component so there is a high chance it was for this, and 40 million units for something like this is plausible since it is a standalone unit.

Those prices are nothing but placeholders. That's how the retailers do here in Scandinavia, the NX for instance is at 9999SEK which translates to almost 1200$. Prices will drop.

Oh that is too crazy. It will sell like hotcakes from release and during the holidays. After that it will fade off for sure, but I could see a couple of millions for sure.

I hope not, no reason why they couldn't have released this on a disc for other consoles and sell the controller seperately. Rare Replay offers 30 games on a disc for $30.

Even a NES USB stick would have made more sense.
