Nothing wrong with the current one, why fix whats not broken.

"Nothing wrong"? Wouldn't you prefer a better battery life, that gets you through the day without recharging?

Yeah, it would be easy for Sony to put a higher capacity battery in the DS4. The 1 year older WiiU Pro controller has a 1300 mAh battery instead of the 800 mAh battery of the DS4 (and is even a bit lighter), my Xperia Z5 compact even has a 2700 mAh battery. But obviously to the FCC document above, Sony ain't going that road. :(( |
Well the document states there is a 3.65v battery(same as the standard DS4) but doesn't state the mA, so there might still be hope. My aftermarket battery is 3.7v and lasts twice as long(at 2000mA). It is an easy swapout and quite cheap to purchase.

Well, the tag shows 5v 800mA, the same as the available DS4:

That refers to the Power supply(USB bus power) as shown in the product specs. 800mA battery would be even worse than standard(which is 1000mA)!!
Ditch the ridiculous light, or at least enable them to be switched off, get a controller without the ridiculous swipe section and the useless Share button as well. It really is a fairly bad controller compared to the DS3. And the sticks are too small and feel wonky as well.

I think you'll find that you are in the minority saying that the DS3 is worse than the DS3. Every time I go back to the DS3 I am reminded how old and horrible those controllers are.
Share button is perfectly fine, it does what it says on the tin. The Swipe is good for quick typing and certain types of games. The light is a requirement of any games using the camera, and will probably be essential for VR.

Agreed. DS4 improved on DS3 in everyway.
