That's not how it works, this doesnt have nothing with which game is Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft, this just about all E3 games that are mentioned, and Zelda most mentioned game in whole E3 buy far.

Don't be silly.... take me for instance. I,m a sony fan, but my plate is so full i havent bothered look up wyute a few games. Havent talked about them or even watched videos of them on youtube.

Its common sense, playstation and Xbox has way more content vying for the attention of gamers. Nintendo fans and anyone interested or at the very least curious to hear what ALL nintendo fans are talking about will seek out Zelda.

Then again, as they say common sense isn't common.

However that implies Nintendo fans have a large fanbase enough to talk that is equal to Sony's fanbase or Microsoft's Fanbase. So your common sense isn't exactly true either. The three fanbases are not equel in size. The fact that Zelda is being talked about is interesting, because it has caused excitement.  You do not see Pokemon as up there as Zelda. Even E3 coverage places have talked about how well Zelda is being shown.

I don't get how people somehow believe that "Games talked about per publisher" is some kind of cake you can only carve up in a finite amount of pieces. As if there was a certain populace you need to divide among available games. So if Nintendo showed two games, Zelda would have had half the social media coverage? Seems strange to me.

The lack of Gwent talk has me sad. Good for Zelda though.

Why is a few people talking about sales? Instead of congratulating?

I have no idea how that works for you, but you just helped me prove what I mean by common sense is not common. lets see....

40M people talking about 30+ games means that if split evenly you get an average of around 1.1M/game.

15M people talking about 1 game means yo...... if you don't get it by now never mind.

I think the point is more "Nintendo had one big console game that they talked about all day, released tons of footage about, and was the absolute center of their E3 event."

Does that translate to more buzz?  I don't know.  Maybe, maybe not, but it is something to consider.

If Sony built an entire E3 presentation around God of War, with tons of footage and streams for an entire day, would it have generated more attention?  If it had, would that have been better for Sony than a bunch of games all generating smaller amounts of social media attention?  Who knows.

Personally, I'm in the "social media is nice free advertising but it doesn't actually mean anything on its own" camp.

Oh, so you can just talk about one game per E3.I mean, if we are talking about Zelda here, I cant talk about God of.... what was the name again?

THATS common sense, not the... thing you are implying.Dont get me wrong, some of those people talking about the game are trying to bash the game, like you and some others here. And people that watch E3 are more avid gamers than casuals are.So the chance that they saw, or at least heard of all games that appeared on E3, be it through a live stream, a article in a site, or by a friend is high.So this data actually shows that, the same guy that is talking about God Of War 4 and Horizon, is also talking about Zelda.Because you know, gamers talk about GAMES, not  A game.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.
