nothing is 'the same'. so therefore this site is totally pointless right? most consoles have had slightly different market aims, slightly different price ranges, slightly different everything, theyre all video game machines, hence we have VG charts. get over it.

I wonder if Neo-Geo and 3DO fanboys made the same arguement.

I feel bad for the PS3 fanboys and especially the 360 fanboys. Face it PS3 dropped the ball with a high price while 360 well it had a year hed start and still got outsold by the Wii. These sorry excuses such as "Wii is for casuals and PS3/360 are hardcore so they aren't in the same market" are just sad. Face Wii is dominating, better luck next gen.

 Dude you think I started a thread because of "slight differences" , the PS1 is more like the 360 than the Wii is .

I don't give a shit if the Wii isn't in it's own market. It's outselling the 360, and the PS3. And I'm a hardcore gamer with only a Wii this Gen. Suck on it.

I love it when people try to rationalize the Wii's success.

This logic even defies CrazzyMan on a bad day, and thats quite an accomplishment.

Wow, some of you are really passionate about the Wii, and some of you really hate the PS3 or 360 (Did they phyically harm you, threaten you or try to kill you?).

The wii will get better third party support, (that's not really saying much, considering the crap that has been put out) but think about it. Some of you are saying "teh Wii is going to take all of the PS3/360 third party support!" Now you can use Monster Hunter 3 as a reason (Will it even release in the States?) and Fatal Frame. But be realistic, did I buy a PS3 to play Fatal Frame? How many people who have a PS3 really care if the Wii gets Fatal Frame, or a spinoff of a Final Fantasy game or any other game for that matter? The games that won't sell on the PS3 will probably sell decent on the Wii. But now that the PS3 is gaining market share, companies will be much more hesitant on cancelling PS3/360 projects and going straight to the Wii.

I have a PS3 and a 360. I will be playing games like Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Fable 2, Final Fantasy 13 and Versus, and White Knight Story. Will I have time for games like Monster Hunter, or Fatal Frame? No.

Granted, if the X console got those games, fanboys would use it as ammo, saying "HA HA WE GOT FATAL FRAME AND U DONT!" But they won't even buy the game. Thats the problem. Games like this are only used to say"we got this game and you don't" on forums.

Do you have a PS3? If you do, why the hell did you buy it? Don't you do research on products before you buy them? I'm sorry but there is no one to blame but yourself. The PS3 didn't fail, you did.
