why should MS make Xbox Live for free if they increased the Xbox Live price in a bunch of other countries including Austria some weeks ago?

Guys...he is...obviously not an insider.

In fairness to the OP he did not specify within which industry he worked.  Maybe he works in the fast food industry and heard the hamburger patty delivery man talking about things he overheard while delivering meats to some pre show E3 meetings.

l <---- Do you mean this glitch Gribble?  If not, I'll keep looking.

I am on the other side of my sig....am I warm or cold?

Sound more like a prediction

I doubt it, but for once someone's claims are precise enough to be properly verifiable. Apparently we also won't have to wait long to be able to verify the validity these claims. Lies or not, but I like the precision.

I can see the free multiplayer thing being possible, while keeping the "Games with Gold" behind a paywall.

If GWG stays behind the paywall, and maybe also the game streaming (how i hope this rumor is true!) they would still keep a lot of subscribers. I also hope game streaming will be announced for PC at the same time and allow for every game released on X1 to be streamed. Then I could potentially sell my X1 while still having it and MS would have a way to make money of XBox without being as dependent on hardware.

If you are not on reddit I don't believe you.

Sorry, but I'm skeptical for now. Still will tag, and wait too see how it turns out.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

What could make sense too me is having multiplayer being free using pier to pier, but dedicated servers for a better MP experience and a tiered game subscription service that allows users to have more choice in what they get, like you get so many credits and can use those to "buy" from a growing selection of new games that get added to the service and then swapped out each year and you can't keep the games unless you've added them to your library. Also as before if your subscription lapses you lose access to your library.

The tiered approach could be a great way to make even more money from customers, because some users would pay more to get access to more games.

I think if MS went with that kind of a service then I think Sony would probably follow it, that would b better all round IMO.

As for a Sony FPS, I think a new Killzone or Resistance is more likely.
Some people think Guerrilla Cambridge could be working on a new Killzone, though they confirmed last year to me on twitter that all 70 of their staff were working on RIGS, if Guerrilla are doing anything for Killzone it's likely around 50 people from Amsterdam are working on the next game because about 150 people are working on Horizon.

Resistance has also been trademarked sometime last year, Sony could have Sumo Digital working on that or another partner 2nd party studio or Insomniac could have a team working on the game since they shipped Sunset Overdrive.

Maybe we'll see some of this happen, but I don't think it's likely for E3.
Could see Sony announcing a new Killzone or Resistance at some point next year, when they get their other games out the door, but they have a lot to deal with already.

Why are people even discussing this? Especially after that cat video I posted?

Edit:  Oh, hey!  Mods!  Can we do that "perma-ban if you're lying" thing, too?
