I generally dislike all of them, to be honest. The 360 controller and Dualshock 3 were miles better than the One and PS4's controllers. Gamepad is the worst of the bunch imo, clunky and poor ergonomics and gimmicky implementation of most of its features.
Handhelds really aren't my thing, haven't liked one since the Atari Lynx, so I can't really say much about that.

1. Steam controller
2. Wii U Pro gamepad
3. Xbox One controller

Used the X1 pad a few times and then the DS4, still think the X1 is my fave pad despite me not being able to ever buy a fully wired one. I should look into the Steam gamepad but that too isn't really fully wired either (before you say, I'm talking about actual cables built directly into the gamepad, like the old days before people started calling cable conncted gamepads as fully wired which isn't accurate).

Pro Controller. Wish it had a screen, but yeah, Pro Controller.

Dualshock 4 is definitely my favourite this gen.

However, the regular XBO controller is pretty good as well.

I can't stand the Xbox one controller. DS4 is a lot more comfortable.
