Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who else is underwhelmed by GT Sport?

I see this game selling around 3-4m considering this look like a prologue instead of a full GT game.

Can we keep Forza out of this, it won't end well. We should be judging this by PS4 standards and from what I've seen DRIVECLUB burries this 'early build'.

Op says Forza 6 looks better i dissagree

Forza 6 definitely looks better than what we saw in the trailer. I'm genuinely suprised by the lack polish in the GT Sport trailer, tracks had poor detail in some areas, blurry textures, looks like there was screen tearing, etc.

Maybe the final product will be at par or better looking than Forza 6.

Last gen Forza had the edge on polish and performance. But hey, GT put a bigger focus on content.

GT sports looks amazing i dont know what people want? The trailers are allready are proven to be outdated material

Going for 1080p 60fps, GT was never going to look as good as Drive Club. 60 fps takes a lot of juice.

I undrstand that but some of these shots are going to damage the IP. From a PR perspective this smacks of a need to have something strong for the holiday season which leads me to believe games like Horizon could be delayed (or released incomplete). There's something wrong with this picture.

It doesn't surprise me. Polyphony stopped being the top dogs of the sim racer a long time ago.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Sony definitely needs to do some damage control with all the bad word of mouth this is getting, but some people are also going out of their way to be overly critical.

I've got a feeling a lot of the Evo guys who have been reallocated will be brought in full time to help polish things up.

What really puzzles me is the amount PD spend in time and resources making new cars and then they do it all over again. They really need to stop over investing in making models they can't use until they scale them back. It costs time and money and now it's affecting the number of cars we get in the game.

They aren't going to damage anything.  Not even close.  A few people arguing about an unfinished game on forums aren't going to make any difference.  The only thing that will damage the IP is if the game is of poor quality at launch.  Six months from now, if the game looks great, old screen shots will be absolutely and completely forgotten.

The reason this event happened now is because of the way GT and Sony work with motorsports sponsors and partners like FIA and Nissan.

Welp, I guess I'm the only one that thought I was watching a "real" racing trailer, though I wasn't too focused on the vegetation( I did look at the people though ) so maybe that's why I didn't mind the not so graphically intense backgrounds.

I think it's completely legitimate it being overly critical in light of what ND have done with UC4.

As far as resouses go in terms of creating new assets, I think it's time to stop using that as PR (which is something I'm associating here). If you have what you need then use it for fuck's sake. Evolution have bettered you, so use their frigin' assets.
