Forums - Nintendo - No true and exclusive 3D Mario and Zelda on WII U

3D World is not a 3D Mario game.

Miyamoto and Iwata didn"t consider it as part of the 64/Sunshine/Galaxy serie. It's a fact

It's a spin off like3D World.

Can you provide a link for that?

Well in support of your argument.

3D world is the only game out of Mario64, Sunshine and Galaxy that wasn't built of its own concept. Its merely a sequel to the 3DS game imo

Maybe its focus on multiplayer was its unique concept?

You are pissed because Zelda is coming to NX too? You are not a true gamer!!! You should be happy that more gamer will be able to enjoy the new Zelda!!!

Not only that, but Zelda on Wii U only would have very short life, but on NX will have beginning of life on start of brand new platform, same like TP had.

And we also know that there will not be new 3D Zelda for at least 3-4 years, so that basically means another platform like Wii U where we would get new Zelda near end of life cycle, but this way NX will be like Wii, one new Zelda at launch and onother near end of live cyle.

On N64 we had Mario 64

Also no "true exclusive" for the N64. You can also play it on the DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U and probably NX. ;)

Mario Galaxy is much more different than Mario Sunshine and Mario 64, actually Mario Galaxy is more similar to Mario 3D World than to M64/Galaxy. But they are all true 3D Mario games.

3D World has nothing to do with Galaxy's games. It's the brother of 3D Land.

Mario 3D World has several outer-space Galaxy style levels. Also playable Rosalina.

It has more in common with the Galaxy games than Sunshine does, Sunshine is way different.

Semantics aside, I think it's understandable for Wii U owners to feel burnt by how the system ultimately panned out.

From the brutal software droughts, to the incessant delays, to the lack of ambitious titles, to what was supposed to be one of its premier games getting pushed back all the way to the next generation, it's a pretty awful state of affairs.

Nintendo made a lot of promises this generation, and failed to deliver on most of them. As such, consumers are quite justified in feeling pissed off.

Who cares about exclusivity? The Wii U will have 3 3D Zelda games when it's done. That's more than any other console.
Twilight Princess HD being the only one that's kinda crap. Wind Waker HD is brilliant. Better than the original in every way. And the new Zelda will likely be great.

And 3D World is a great game. So what if it didn't revolutionise the genre.

In what world is 3DWorld a spin-off? I'd rather play that "spin-off" than that turd called Sunshine XD. Even if that game was a "true" 3D Mario.

This nonsense about 3D World needs to end. Just because it doesn't fit YOUR narrow definition of a certain type of game does NOT mean that it isn't a 'true' anything. People say this all the time and it's just so ridiculous. Don't know why Nintendo fans seem to love to rip that game when it's arguably the best game on Wii U.
