But is part of the story. The entire game is about idols and the character are dressed how idols are dressed. There's nothing out of character or tacked on.

If they made a volleyball game for the upcoming olympics, they're not going to cover up the players with more covering swimsuits just cause. They're dressed how beach volleyball players are supposed to dress.

People get upset because these changes are being done for no reason. There's no battle to fight, because there's literally no force pushing these changes. This game flopped in Japan, and it's going to do terribly here too. Censoring the game in any way only serves to make the game divisive.

Are you actually arguing that slightly cover up someone will in way shape or form actually change the STORY? With the last comment about "it bombed there, will bomb here" it feels more like you just don't like the game and you are using this non-threatening and harmless cosmetic change to take a "jab" at it/atlus/Nintendo.

I'm saying that by making idols not dressed up like idols, you're removing from what the characters are being portrayed as. Idols.

The finanicial success comment was made to say that there's no financial gain to be had from making this title more mass market. There is no large market for this game, and the target audience is very small so any change is only going to make the game more dividing. Lastly, I say these things as someone who has preordered the game, so I'm not speaking from any other position than a fan of Japanese RPGs.

Idols in this game aren't pre-teens. The fashion of the characters that they're chaning are kinda core to their profession and the theme of the game.

Ugh, the suggestion that anyone who doesn't like for Nintendo to screw with the game during localization should just go look at porn is incredibly stupid.

Because most Wii U owners here on VGChartz doesn't go full on rage or  give a FUCK OR SHIT about the censorship. Because we hardly get any "sexual" games for the Wii U. I think Bayonetta is the most selling game on the Wii U which has quite a lot of "sexual" content.

If this was on the PSVita or on the PS3 then YES! I would see people throwing Shit at the game because how they do get a lot of JRPG games which incorporates this. For a game to get censored while others don't...........

And besides! Theres soooooo much more to the game that we should be talking about. I love how most people who comment here, I don't see in other TMS #FE threads.

Who is going full on rage? No one here certainly. The majority of the thread is people justifying censorship by using strawmen insults against people who don't want their games mucked up during localization.

This gets far more attention than any normal pieces of gameplay or news for very obvious reasons. Nintendo has censored something in every single one of their JRPG localizations in the past year or so. It's just built on each other.

They're just boobs, what's so great about them? You'll be able to find plenty of fan art way more explicit anyway.

Dude, they're boobs.... You know the two things that are on women's chest that can be used to control guys. They have super powers.

Thats what I mean. No one is going full shit crazy on this. Wii U owners here on VGC doesn't mind the censorship because there are other things that outweighs it (positive stuff) like the gameplay itself. IMO having no eng dubs is a better reason to get mad than this!

And do you know why these Wii U owners aren't mad? Because like I said there are porn, hentai, ecchi anime, eroge Visual Novels for free online!

There are subsitutes for this! Better substitutes! My points are towards how you are calling people who says that there are porn and hentai online is stupid.

Except they're still dressed as Idols.

The image on the right isn't suddenly "not an idol costume". They're pretty much the same except for a few centimeters of gratuitous cleavage. Nothing of real value has been lost.

Again this is one of the reasons why region lock sucks.

Wasn't referencing that. One of the dungeons has a bunch of photos from some type of photoshoot around the area. Every single photo has whatever they were wearing changed.

Ah, that part. Well, they may not be in bikinis anymore, but they still look like pop stars modelling.

Yeah this was all over twitter over the past few days.
