Forums - Nintendo - Can The Legend of Zelda: (U/NX) Sell Close to 10mil Lifetime? (or More)

I think it can if three things happen; the NX is successful, the game is legitimately great and Nintendo (at some point) bundles it with the system.

I don't really see this game getting anywhere near ten million units sold, to be honest. I see it selling five at most, being optimistic; and around three being realistic.

Zelda remaster WW HD will end up around 2m on Wii U, onother Zelda remaster Twilight Princes will most likly be 1.5m+ also on Wii U, so I really don't see how you think that brand new Zelda, first HD and true open world Zelda that looks beautiful and that is very hyped, that most likely will be launch title on new platform and released on Wii U also, will end up around 3m and that is realistic!?

I expect less than Skyward Sword, and less installed base for the NX than for the Wii U.

I dont think that will end up to 10m, but 5m+ is guarantee, probably will end up somewhere around 7-8m.

Not if Color Splash is ported to the NX and sells the system like hotcakes.

I'm going to say no. Zelda is popular for sure but not 10M seller popular.

Japan doesn't care about Zelda & that makes it much harder to reach it. (unless the HH thing is actually true but even then, it's not big there)

Noy when MM remake did 500k and OoT did i think at least 600k on 3ds. Imagine a real 3d zelda on hh. A new onee

Ocarina of times is the bigger Zelda game ever, which sold 11 million LT.
Twilight princess is the second, will eventually break 10 million soon with the Wii U version.

I think will depend if this game will get a remake or a remastered after 7-10 years of release.

But yeah, it's gonna be fucking huge. 7-8 million withouth remake Wii U + NX.

Nah i wouldnt count a future remake. But 7mil is a good guess imo if nx takes off

3 mil realistic? Wwhd is around 2mil i thinl itll easily do 3mil

I think people are vastly underestimating how significant of a negative impact the lack of VA has had on the sales of modern Zelda games. This one is going to crush.
