Emily Rogers didn't actually say that the female character was a female version of Link

Since we got a rumor that Link can be a girl do you guys think that the romantic aspect could be in Zelda U(NX) if Link is a guy or a women.

Wasn't the rumor that you can play as a female character, without specifying which character it's going to be? It could be someone that's not Link. It could also be Link, that's for sure, but I thought the rumor didn't specify it would be Link.

Yeah but it would make sense for it to be Link because lets say it another female character that would mess up the whole timeline and story of the game. But yeah Emily never really specified.

It would make sense for it to be link, sure. But it would also make sense if there were two heroes, Link and a female one, and the player could choose which one to play as. Of course under the assumption it's going to be Link, it makes sense to discuss the romance thing here, in which case my answer is no, because Nintendo isn't exactly modern, and I feel a homosexual romantic aspect would be too much for Nintendo.

Didn't they have a homosexual aspect in FE B&C?

Yes, because Zelda will be a guy.

Japan is very conservative and would most likely not allow girl on girl anything.
Unless its porn, but thats a different story.

I can't see Nintendo doing something like that. I would probably enjoy it though.

Given that Link looked pretty young and that a lesbian experience for students in japan is usually considered innocent, it would only get censored in the west lol.

I don't know. Zelda seems to be closer to Nintendo though, which I would assume means less freedom in matters like this.

I feel that Nintendo is still too conservative for stuff like that, but perhaps you're right.
