Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy 7 Remake Will Be Multiple Full-Sized Games ( Like ff 13 )

No, those two sequels are still the FF13 story. Agito and Type 0 are part of the Fabula Nova Crystalus world, along with the 3 FF13 titles.

Versus XIII was another FNC, but I believe the connection was cut when Tabata came onboard.

I know what you are trying to get at but no, it really wasn't 1 story, wasn't 1 game broken up into 3 parts. It was 1 game, which has 2 sequels, even if the added to the lore. People don't claim FFX-2 a direct continuation of FFX do they? as if it's part of FFX's story? No, of course not.

It's also not the same in FF7's case because we already have played and know that story. Even Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus completely broke the ending (the planet's choice) of FF7 to me but they were sequels, they aren't FF7's story.

Hmm, pie.

I'm guessing this is going to be only two games. If you break it up in terms of the original games discs, the first 2 had the vast majority of the story on it. The 3rd disc only had the ending on it. I think they can squeeze the ending in on the 2nd game. Would make sense also, since the 2 part movie is something Hollywood has been doing lately, which people seem to accept.

I'm sure they are going to try and get out the first installment by 2017, in time for the 20th anniversary. With the 2nd part the year after. I also wouldn't be surprised to see the complete game upgraded for the PS5, maybe as a launch title, which I expect to hit shelves in 2019.

There are plenty of places they could stop before the end of the first disk; at the end of the first continent/on the boat (especially if they're extending Midgar); the temple of the ancients; or Nibelheim.

I suspect the first game will feature the first the first continent with an extended (fully explorable) Midgar section and a more thorough encounter with Sephiroth on the ship.

As long as each part isn't a full priced game it's fine. $40 bucks is the most I'm willing to pay for each part.

By the way, I'm willing to bet that Aeris's(?) death will mark the end of the first game, it makes sense, and that way they could make her actually useful and a fun character to play with, instead of a simple plot-device.

I'm now filled with determination.

But this isn't related to KH3, and this is an expontentially higher priority than a KH game.

Says your own imagination. Here in reality though, a game in the making for less than a year isn't coming out sooner than a game that's been in development for at least thrice that much time, let alone in the following year.

Do you really think the game has only been in development for a year? Not only that, but they're made by completely different teams.

They want to get it out for the 20th anniversary of the game.

That's nice and all but I'm gonna wait until the eventual complete collection on PS5.5

As long as we have 3 retail releases and they don't dare to do story DLC then I'm OK with this.

I'm 100% sure it's only been in developement for a year. It doesn't matter that it's made by different teams. They have the same director.

It doesn't matter what they want. It's not happening. It's not even remotely realistic. KH3 might not even come out next year, let alone FF7R.

I only have a third of my original erection for this game now...two thirds limp.

That's a disturbing image.

It's much better than the time it was two thirds hard! limp in the middle. Damn thing was like a nunchuck!

Well, that's just not true. We don't know the exact time it start, but we do know it was before they announced the FF7 PS1 classic on PS4. That puts it in 2014, so I'd wager that it's closer to 2 years than 1. Not to mention that a lot of work goes in the development of a title before you actually start making the game itself.
