I'm 100% sure it's only been in developement for a year. It doesn't matter that it's made by different teams. They have the same director.

It doesn't matter what they want. It's not happening. It's not even remotely realistic. KH3 might not even come out next year, let alone FF7R.

Well, that's just not true. We don't know the exact time it start, but we do know it was before they announced the FF7 PS1 classic on PS4. That puts it in 2014, so I'd wager that it's closer to 2 years than 1. Not to mention that a lot of work goes in the development of a title before you actually start making the game itself.
