Yeah that is most likely the reason why she was fired and if it's the reason then I totally agree with Nintendo on this one,both on the firing and not defending her, but reading this article and some people in this thread they are already jumping to conclusions about why she was fired and decide to blame something that most likely had nothing to do why it.

It was this what hapened?

She released an article defending child porngraphy and pedophilia and has openly defended both when the article was touched on by mainstream media like newspaper outlets. Nintendo very likely fired her because of that.

This is entertaining, both Nintendo and GamerGate are made out to be demons, and it is funny as hell.

Funny enough, if you actually dive into it, Nintendo might have done the right thing, and while gamergate can get a bit harassing, if all they did was forward Nintendo information, well more power to them.
