3DS isn't in a good place. Sales are falling and Nintendo had to lower their forecast. It's about to die. And lol, if Nintendo launches an new home console this year when the PS4k, PSVR and maybe the new Xbox launch, it will be dead on arrival. Nintendo wouldn't risk that. After the Wii U they will go the safe path and launch it in 2017.

Also who says that if said consoles were to happen NX couldn't be on the same level as them ?

The only Reliable rumor that i heard about the NX, is that Nintendo, will launch a Wii U's Sucessor.

Almost nobody would buy a Nintendo home console then. Look at the Wii U. It sold 13 million units 3.5 years. Nintendo has almost no customers left. If they launch it when their competetitors release new hardware it will be the next flop.

Because the Wii U isn't selling very well. If it wasn't selling so bad, the NX would be more likely to launch next year than this year.

1. Nintendo is DOA if they launch hardware earlier than Sony and Microsoft, because then they'll be behind in specs.
2. Nintendo is DOA if they launch hardware at the same time as Sony and Microsoft, because they'll get overshadowed.
3. Nintendo is DOA if they launch hardware after Sony and Microsoft, because they'll lag behind in installed base.

Sounds like Nintendo's in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situtation.

3DS doesn't sell well either. They even had to lower their 3DS forecast...

The handheld market is a much bigger market for Nintendo. They have much to lose if they don't move on.

It's 4 years since it's the end of the year and no, NX will be a totally different scenario, Nintendo messed up big time with the Wii U but it doesn't mean that they are doomed, if they have solid advertisement, a totally new name for the console, on par specs with the rival consoles if not better and a couple killer apps at launch Nintendo will be just fine with the NX and from the leak I previously linked we already know that NX will launch with Zelda U which is a killer app

The "Revolution" was worse. You have no idea. People were making websites for it... and actually concept videos in full 3D. Stuff that was A LOT of work. This isn't even remotely close to all the shit that's been done. The NX rumor mill is very small in comparsion. Sure we had a guy fool us all with a controller, but the shit people pulled with the Revolution is crazy.

I am a little skeptical on if Nintendo was using Game Cube dev kits to demo the first batch of demos in 2005 on the Wii because the hardware wasn't ready, and ended up just going with it because it worked. Apparently it was supposed to be HD or some shit.

Ugh... the rumors were just crazy, and unlike these rumors. They go into pages of specs, explaining how the hardware works, how the new gimmic will work. It was like this console was something god sent to the gamers -_-




Anyone know what the name of that really cool (fake) game was called? Xeneoxas or something like that?
