But... but that's a remake! XDDD.

EDIT: Sorry, remaster, which is not the same.

Still very good point.  No where near ground up development.

You can consider NSMBU as a wii NSMB remaster.

Yeah, let's forget that level design exists.

So let's just pretend you're right and MK8 is just MKWii upscaled, what then is the reason for all the delays if HD development was not the problem?

What is the reason for region lock in 8th gen? What is the reason for censoring and memelocalizations months after jp releases? What is the reason for stupid marketing company? What is the reason for hideous E3 2015 presentation? What is the reason for bad handling of Fatal Frame and Devil's Third in the West?

Who knows, but Nintendo gave a reasonable answer to my question whereas you have not.

WindWaker was made in six months. Perfect example of jump from SD to HD without any problems. Maybe Shigeru Miyamoto overestimates himself and the development of his games? Where is StarFox 0 and project Robot/Giant/Guard? "HD development" problems? In 2016?

That is remaster of game that already exist, not completely new game that was build from ground. So I relly dont see how you can use that like "Perfect example of jump from SD to HD without any problems".

They made:

1. HD resolution.

2. Redone all the textures.

3. Implemented Wii U features as a streaming, asynchronous gameplay and miiverse posting.

All the actual problems that you can meet with development of your Wii U game can be handled in 6 months. What's the excuse for Miyamoto?

So they have problems with "HD development" or with level designing?

Yeah, because Wind Waker HD has all the textures redone.

I'll stop because we're getting totally off-topic, but if you want to do a general Nintendo rant about everything you consider they've done wrong I'll gladly answer in a new thread. Because I consider they've done things wrong, but I don't think the points you're making kinda make sense.

EDIT: To the post above (and I promise it's my last answer), the fact of making totally new levels implies, obviously, that you can't "remaster" NSMB in making NSMBU, which is what you were saying. And know that I think about it, it's absurd to talk about NSMBU when it was a launch title.

You need to make new levels even for SD game, it have nothing common with "HD development" bullshit excuse.

Did you actually saw textures and polygons that Wind Waker has!? It all very very simple, basically there is one single texture or polygon that is little more complex.

No, you dont having same problems when you making new game from ground and when you making remaster. Using remaster like proof that Nintendo didn't had HD development problems and that was just a excuse, doesn't make any sense.

But you already loose evre credibility buy saying that Wii U games are "literally cartoonish "wii-tier" games with updated resolution and some details here and there". Its clear you here just to rant about anything Nintendo related without any facts and sense.

I don't understand, the holidays are at the end of the year, about 9 months away., that's lots and lots of time to announce a console Most hardware in most industries is announced days or weeks before launch, not years before launch. There is no reason why announcing more than a few weeks before launch will make things more successful. Even with Nintendo launches, Diddy Kong Racing was announced shortly before launch and remains one of Nintendo's fastest selling titles ever.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Do people remember that the the PS4 and Xbox one were shown for the first time only a few months before their release?
Why are people acting like this has never happened?

Apple even does it a day before, and we all know Nintendo wants to be the apple of gaming.
